Started this plugin last October to provide better editor support for Vue single file component, now vetur has support for embedded IntelliSense / error-checking / syntax-highlighting / emmet / snippet / linting / formatting. By embedded support I mean each feature is available for at least html/css/js, some features are also available for scss/less/ts/etc.
@sandersn from TS team has been really helpful in helping me integrating TS's Language Server to powers the advanced IntelliSense in vetur. As vue / vuex / vue-router now comes with type definitions, you get awesome auto completion such as [1] and [2].
Now that IntelliSense in js/ts sections is almost complete, vetur's next step is to use TS's Language Server to extract info from Vue SFC's script part to power IntelliSense in templates, such as prompting a list of `props` for `v-if`, and prompting a list of `methods` for `@click`.
Give it a try and let me know any bugs or features you want to see!

Or comparing Vim against Sublime for loading large files, when Sublime needs to draw the very fine and useful minimap but Vim doesn't?
In addition, most of these perf tests are extreme cases, whereas some editors are optimizing for more common use cases.
And, do you have an issue for the regex port? Would love to see the benchmark.

EDIT: Just saw this on twitter: https://vuejs.org/v2/guide/typescript.html
WP 1's sourcemap doc is confusing as hell and WP 2's doc just copied that over. I imagine debugging un-transpiled code with sourcemap is one of the most common use-cases.
And I'm not alone if you look at the disqus of WP's doc[0] and a blog by @bebraw[1], one of the guys running webpack.js.org.
I even opened an issue[2], I hope it can make into your MVP.

Anyone enlighten me?
Last time I played with Swift I stopped after XCode crashed 2 times in an hour for me. It is also very slow. But none other editors seem to support auto completion which is a deal-breaker for me. Without it it's hard to consume all the APIs.
I hope Apple can follow Rust's path by making a language server[0] for Swift, if Apple is serious about providing cross-platform support for it. This will enable better support in editors such as find definition, refactor and auto completion.

I use npm 90% for install, and yarn does this so much better.
Installs are 3-4 times faster. Output is minimal and readable (compared to npm's wall of text that I never read). Packages are cached so I can work with slow connections in coffee shops.
Sorry to be blunt, but I feel none of the release features gonna help my daily usage of npm. How about actually fixing the tab completion, which has been slow and broken forever?
But the thing I like most about Vue is it allows me, who identifies as a front-end dev or design-coding hybrid, to quickly iterate and build prototypes. Look at the single file component:
<template>
<div id="list">
<li></li>
<li></li>
</div>
</template>
<script>
export default {
// Define your component
}
</script>
<style scoped>
#list { list-style: none }
</style>
I can quickly edit the template to alter my component's DOM structure, style it with scoped css, and change its dynamic behavior in the script tag. Like the suite of Jade/Coffee/Stylus? Adding a lang attribute to each tag and you are good to go. Awesome stuff.Scientific tools (Jupyter/IPython)
- Executing blocks of code (cells) in a Jupyter Kernel
- Managing kernels (restarting, stopping, interrupting and selecting different kernels)
- Viewing interactive graphs, HTML, SVG, laText output from Jupyter from within Visual Studio Code
Angular has TS and React has Flow, but most of Vue projects seem to use neither. This is fine for small side-projects, but I'm wondering if anyone could share experience building large Vue apps without types.
