Yeah cause if everyone is doing it, it isn't creepy anymore!
ocfx··on [dead]
The other developers were actually able to do negative lines. Can you do this?
ocfx··on Show HN: My new project – Startupconfessions.io
Yeah seems like the upvote downvote part isn't done yet.
ocfx··on Ask HN: Thoughts on Meteor.js?
+1 for this book. Super straightforward and easy to follow.
ocfx··on Ask HN: Thoughts on Meteor.js?
I saw this project [https://github.com/tuhinc/rethink-livedata] for using rethinkdb instead of mongodb, but doesn't look like it is picking up...
ocfx··on Amazon WorkSpaces
I love bacon!
ocfx··on Do We Need Node?

ocfx··on How I hacked my room hunt in SF
This means you trust the average populations opinion.
ocfx··on Should Apple Buy Tesla?
As if Tesla would sell to Apple.
ocfx··on An unofficial alternative to the HN interface
Well I'm not when I'm leaving this comment!
ocfx··on Introducing TogetherJS
lol yeah telling our clients to use a real browser is totally going to be good for future business with them..
ocfx··on Why Veeva’s IPO is a huge win for enterprise SaaS and health IT
I do a lot of Veeva applications for healthcare. It's pretty interesting and almost all of our clients are really into it right now. I'd say 50 percent of our work is related to Veeva. If anyone has any questions about it I can answer some.

To add to this a bit. One of the main reasons it is doing so well is that their clients (healthcare) are willing to spend ridiculous amounts of money on software. They emphasize that Veeva only has 170 customers, but these customers are people like <insert giant pharma name here>. It's not like their customers are some mom and pop shops.

It is nice to see healthcare trying out new things. Typically they are a few years behind on the curve due to their demographic.

ocfx··on Show HN: Wakeup.io - Free Online Wake-up Call Service
Nothing apparently, I put my moms phone number in set at 4:20 PM. I'm so edgy.
ocfx··on How Evan Moran replaced CSS/HTML/JS with OJJS
I think you explained it pretty well. I was sniping at the title of the post "How Evan Moran replaced CSS/HTML/JS with OJJS" when you hinted that replaced might not be the best word choice. Pretty cool stuff though, I will have to give it a go.
ocfx··on How Evan Moran replaced CSS/HTML/JS with OJJS
'Instead of the word ‘replace’ let's use "abstract away"...'
ocfx··on Yesterbox
I wish I worked in an environment where I could respond to emails a day later lol.
ocfx··on A beginner's cheat sheet for web development
I would recommend adding HTML5 Doctor http://html5doctor.com/ as they do a very good job of explaining the specific use cases of the semantic elements in html5 which is something many people either overlook or they use incorrectly. I really like it!
ocfx··on Vex – Beautiful, functional, dialogs in Javascript
Pretty cool. You have a typo on this page: http://github.hubspot.com/vex/ where it stays destory instead of destroy.
ocfx··on Announcing TripleSec - JavaScript encryption combining Salsa20, AES, and 2fish
I'm a security noob and I've been thinking about writing an encrypted chat application with Node.js and Socket.io. I have the chat part already done, but not exactly sure where to proceed with the encryption part. I don't want to store data and I want the data that is being received and sent to be encrypted. I was thinking of having users enter a room together with the same key to use for decryption. This could potentially be something I use and I was also considering using SJCL. Am I totally way off in my approach to this...? Suggestions?
ocfx··on I don't want to be called a hacker
Was it Eric Raymond?
ocfx··on Mircrosoft's Next CEO Needs To Be More Mayer And Less Ballmer
Do they really want Mayer anyways? It seems like that while she has given them more publicity she hasn't seemed to do very much that actually matters. Sure they made a new logo and bought Tumblr, neither were very good ideas.
ocfx··on Ghetto Tracker - A rating system to help people avoid the bad parts of town
I rated Compton just in case...
ocfx··on Panama disease threatens banana production
This isn't news.
ocfx··on Intern dies after ‘working until 6am for three days’ at Merrill Lynch
Amusingly enough I read something not too long about about how if someone falls asleep during a meeting or at work (in Japan) it is respected because it is assumed they fell asleep through overworking.
ocfx··on Teach Yourself a New Programming Language in 21 Minutes (Or 2-3 Years)
Could you explain some of the reasons for needing a client side framework for a web app? I've always just used requirejs and wrote modules and that has worked for me as I try to keep as much server side as possible, but I realize my experience in the industry is limited so I wanted to hear some arguments for client side frameworks. I've been flamed in a few freenode channels just for bringing them up.
