This is cool. I'll probably use this to store my commonly used prompts so I don't have to retype them all the time. For whatever reason I like being able to see all of their contents upfront like this instead of using skills, which feels like you're working in the dark. Then having the extra execution modes on top of that is great too.

Also, interestingly, this is great for creating task lists. Then you can execute each task one by one. Maybe consider adding something like hooks that lets you update the 'prompt' as well, or some state tag on it or something? (maybe you'll think of a better way to represent this), but basically, instead of having my agent write its todo lists like:

- [] task one

- [x] task two

You could write them as individual prompts in Ledge, and then have some system where it can update the state of the prompt so you could set it to completed once it's finished automatically via the agent.

Edit: Okay I just tried it. Not sure why, but on Linux (Ubuntu 26.04 with a 4090 rtx) it's REALLY laggy for me. Scrolling and resizing the window is glitching hardcore, and typing is very slow.

How? Obsidian lets you run a prompt like that?

nullbio··on Surprisingly complex waves reveal the brain's inner workings
It'd need to be calibrated to a specific frequency, likely some sort of resonant frequency of the cells or their machinery. Someone should run an experiment over the entire frequency band to see what happens.
nullbio··on Surprisingly complex waves reveal the brain's inner workings
Presumably the network would learn to reconfigure itself to compensate.

Shouldn't this be SI?

More like 2 weeks later. Around 2 weeks after Astra launched they started dropping the juice levels. I was able to run on low or med initially without problem. Now I need to run on xhigh and the results are still not as good as they were on launch.
nullbio··on Livenerf: Has Opus 5.5 been nerfed yet?
It's probably -only- for subscriptions. The frontier labs seem to use the subscription models on a dial to serve and prioritize the API users better, because they get more profit there.
nullbio··on Livenerf: Has Opus 5.5 been nerfed yet?
Do they use private benchmarks? Because if not, it could be selectively nerfed.

I also wonder if cache could be used to throw these off as well, where it's serving un-nerfed cache results for context windows that are identical to ones they've previously had for benchmark requests.

Seems like the only way to do it well would be to have some randomness involved that couldn't be cheated on - but you'd want to do it in a way that doesn't throw out the benchmarks too much, so your results can be compared still.

nullbio··on Does Reddit have an astroturfing problem? What the data suggests
The free mods are why the site sucks. It incentivizes power-trippers to gatekeep large communities without any common consensus on how moderation should be established, and without any oversight of the moderators.

There's no standard of professionalism or repercussion for being a terrible moderator, most of them are anon socially-weird outcasts with a chip on their shoulder.

When you're paying someone real money to be a moderator they tend to do a good job because they want to continue receiving that payment. The reward for a Reddit moderator is instead to feel like you're important and powerful, and that you can punish people you disagree with.

It also means that their power can generally be easily bought, because again, there's no repercussions for manipulating the board. Reddits incentives are entirely broken.

nullbio··on Does Reddit have an astroturfing problem? What the data suggests
It does, big time. Everything on Reddit is gamed and manipulated to spin a narrative. It's where certain demographics go to spin propaganda.

Agreed. Azure would be nice. Something that can work with Terraform too.

I'm sorry Tom. They were clearly trying to get a rise out of me, but I shouldn't have bitten. I'll refrain from engaging in the future.

Point well taken.

You didn't answer the question.

Do you not know how media works in the 21st century? They're republishing from UK sources. It was just the first hit on the SERPs because they have better SEO. Go find the original sources if you really want to. The point is that your country is putting people in prison for the dumbest reasons, and you apparently see no issue with it.

The fact that you're quite clearly either ill-informed, or blinded by your own biases. I'm not sure why you keep mentioning this Graham person when I had never mentioned them. Seems like you're trying to reframe using a cherry-picked example.

https://www.foxnews.com/world/blogger-arrested-sharing-anti-...

Do you think someone should be arrested for sharing a meme that says f** Hamas? Or did you not know about this?

It's common knowledge that the UK is arresting people on the daily for harmless things that no one actually cares about. Should someone go to jail for saying "fuck serial killers"? Is that a hate crime too?

So this is normal in your eyes?

nullbio··on Two-tier encryption in the UK
I'm not actually. How did you get "arrested for tweets" from my post where I said it was a video of a 20-something year old having a debate with someone at a pub?

I'll take that as confirmation that it happens all the time though - since this was evidently not an isolated case, as you have pointed out.

nullbio··on Stripe's Knowledge AI Platform
FWIW I do think this is a cool project for Stripe's internal management. I was more-so speaking generally in regard to B2C and B2B. Would have been nice to get some technical details though - the article didn't really say much.
nullbio··on Stripe's Knowledge AI Platform
It sure feels like companies have lost their way now. It's no longer about high polish and quality, and all about volume of features. I don't think users want to be overwhelmed with features, they want things that work nicely, and consistently.

They're sugar coating it. They've been nerfing AI research and development for years now. Their claim that it's only "certain ML accelerators" is a bold-faced lie, coming from the company that lies incessantly.
nullbio··on US criticises Australia's proposed algorithm opt-out laws as 'censorship'
So I should look forward to the day I see my Reddit feed free of r/Fauxmoi propaganda? Or does Reddit get a free pass like it has with age verification? Because we're still able to browse Reddit without an account, for starters. They had a popup that it required an account to browse for about a week, then they reverted back to allowing everyone to browse without one because they lost too many viewers.

But this also highlights a greater problem: If you're allowing people to browse social media platforms without accounts, what algorithm applies in that case? Is that the government curated feed? Or is that the rage-bait feed designed to spur engagement and sign-ups?

nullbio··on US criticises Australia's proposed algorithm opt-out laws as 'censorship'
I think you meant to say: We intended on electing a central-left government, and got a far-left Fabian government.
