Dr. Sarah Hill does a great job espousing the actual research showing conclusively the negative affects of the pill on women, particularly those under 21, where the damage could be permanent
But what's a little science in the face of the massive propaganda machine that is the US pharmaceutical industry
The real answer would probably be to take all those billions of wireless devices and create a robust and uncensorable mesh. There are some places where hackers have already done it, but imagine if it were global.
Ironically enough, the peer review process itself is also not an empirically derived system either, it's another act of faith to assume it actually works well (hint, hint, it doesn't).
Don't get me wrong, I'm not an enemy of science, but it's sad and honestly pathetic to see people suspend all reason and logic en masse in the name of so called "science" when the majority of people don't even know what that is, or just how rare it is for an individual to place the pursuit of truth above self interest.
Unless of course you have a spotless record, your ex is verifiably insane and you are one of maybe 5-10% that can actually afford to double your household expenses for the next decade, then maybe you'll get 50/50, which still puts your kids at a disadvantage.
The only defense, then, is to shut down dissent at all costs.
Perhaps the concern isn't the 2% dental improvement, maybe that's just a red herring. Perhaps an actual toxicological study would be more appropriate.
I know that some water sources have naturally occurring fluoride, which is often used as an excuse or ad hoc justification for it's efficacy, but that's just fuzzy, wishful thinking.
Also the fluoride they put in the water is not derived naturally, but instead is largely the result of nuclear waste byproducts that, if they didn't put in the water, they'd have to pay to dispose of safety, so let's not forget the massive conflict of interest in studies like this to find any excuse to keep up the status quo.
The act of avoiding the cost of safe and responsible cleanup by simply injecting a small amount of poison into the food or water supply is fairly common practice, and if regulatory agencies had any actual interest in public or environmental health, that'd likely be one of the first things to legislate on.
So yeah, nice try, but no thanks.
And my guess is, absolutely nothing will be done, accountability wise, in either case.
Call me old school but if I can run my tooling locally I typically prefer that in most cases, and Nix does a stellar job of tracking everything deterministically, so sharing amongst the team works great too.
So much so I think replit actually uses it under the hood for some of their environments iirc.
You can not have a free society without a populace taking responsibility for their own. There is a reason the slogan "freedom isn't free", was a big thing in America til just a generation or two ago. The second you start delegating things like safety to the gov you've lost.
Just look at modern America, a giant portion of folks cannot survive without gov assistance now, and look where that got us. How can you oppose a corrupt gov if you cannot even survive without it?
Unless you are so brainwashed (as many still are) that you think that the total lack of privacy and agency in modern America is both good, and somehow fitting to the intent of the Constitution as written.
