Maybe I am the one and only ignorant to not know it, but I am pretty sure I am not alone.
Nowadays we give a lot of stuff for granted.
In 19th century Italian (but maybe also other countries') children had to grow quickly to cope with life and work brutalities. They often had no mother, died while giving them birth, and started working at 7 or 8 to help their families.
In 20th century, instead, they have been constantly exposed to either real life violence and harshness (like war) or fiction brutality from movies, cartoons and video games.
Nope, Pinocchio is not that weird. It is when compared to an idyllic and peaceful world that has never existed but in our wishful thinking minds.
I somehow thought that this was not really holding true and that Mr. Einstein had something to say.
I thought that without Einstein's "corrections" stuff like GPS wouldn't be useful at all.
Maybe I misunderstood last 100+ years in gravitational physics.

then you must be either very distracted or dyslexic.
What was the last time you gave or got an address by word of mouth?
The burn down of Alexandria library was a pity
Mozzarella di bufala campana is my no. 1 choice, hands down.
Simply because bool algebra doesn't have that many functions and all of them are very simple to implement.
A complex bool function made out of NANDs (or the likes) is little more complex than the same made out of the other operators.
Implementing even simple real functions out of eml() seems to me to add a lot of computational complexity even with both exp() and ln() implemented in hardware in O(1). I think about stuff sum(), div() and mod().
Of course, I might be badly wrong as I am not a mathematician (not even by far).
But I don't see, at the moment, the big win on this.
Far side from Sun is always.
The point is that we are all Earthlings, so the former applies.
Not to talk about the amount of unknown and unpredictable extra traffic caused by those PCs onto the "space internet links" which can easily clog any other communication.
And not to talk about smartphones.
This is actually rocket (and space) science, not the horse market fair!
Actually, don't buy TVs at all. Buy books.
And even if we could, for how long?
Reality is that AI is changing everything. Whether for the good or for the bad it's something to check.
Sometimes your code is "just" a proof of concept, a way to test the idea. Very far from a decent product.
That is the time you ditch the code, keep the ideas (both good and bad) and start over.
But it's a cool idea.
Then I could become a PC in our pocket.
