The CDC themselves were involved in the study that says you're wrong.
If someone is able to find the source for this info I'd really appreciate it. Just spent like 10 minutes trying to find the paper they're citing but I can't find it and I don't have time to keep looking now. Maybe it isn't published?
It might be this one, actually. This one suggests it can live up to 72 hours on certain surfaces. https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.03.09.20033217v...
I'd love to have some more data on this if anyone can provide.
Psychedelics are the same, for me, times like ten. Fortunately I handle it relatively well, and I just let it ride as "part of the experience" when I trip. Usually the uncomfortable parts go away after the peak, and then it's just awesome for hours. The peak is amazing in its own ways too, but there is (for me) no doubt a have anxiety/body buzz that is just uncomfortable as all get-out.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a small settlement for research or something in my lifetime. Maybe something like what we have in Antarctica.
At the end of the day, they're either trying to convince other world powers that we have tech we don't, or they're warning others that we do. The only other possibility is, as you suggested, some kind of hoax or prank.
Who knows where the truth really is.
