Devices such as the Apple Pencil are getting better at capturing pressure and highly-detailed paths, which inturn are encoded as vectors and can gather information that is lost in physical mediums, such as coordinates, drawing order, and temporality, even capturing things not present on paper such as hover gestures and pressure.
Yet it's common practice to reduce gestures and clicks to points, lines, or curves - two clicks from thousands of users in a CAD environment may output the exact same line from point A to point B - which often forget about the expressiveness of pencil strokes on a sheet of paper, features which could be used by machine learning algorithms to discern intent in the input of different users.
Here are my highlights.
My current setup is a DigitalOcean Droplet with Nginx and php-fpm.
A solution could be to OCR the site and overlay the actual recognized text on the site as HTML items that can be hidden but useful for Google index the contents.
I can see the pain and friction that doing that manually would entail though.
Have you tried passing the pages through a OCR transcription system like tesseract? You also get this with the text-parsing feature of the reMarkable 2 for free, and I was thinking you could use the [link title] syntax to mark links and have some sort of automatic mapping to the links so you don't have to specify the links "by hand."
Anyhow, great idea. It's a bit small to read on iPhone.
A cool idea would be to convert each word to an individual image and put each of them inside of an inline div to make the article responsive.
It seems their intention is not only to provide AI-based audio editing and recording but also to cover the ground of what Riverside already offers.
Remote recording - Recording with others is as easy as sharing a link. Everyone’s audio is recorded in high quality locally, then Project Shasta syncs it back together in the cloud automatically.
"Soon to come features" list things we can already find in Descript, such as filler word removal or speech enhancement. And features already available in the beta include microphone checking for optimal quality and microphone distance, AI-powered audio, remote recording with guests, and project templates.
I was waiting to see what Adobe's take on AI-based audio editing and recording was, and it seems it's here. At the moment the project is referred to as Shasta; I imagine these capabilities either format a new product offering or are integrated with existing tools like Audition, Premiere, or After Effects.
What do you think?
You have to write it manually.
It's been 25–30 minutes since I first encountered the error and posted it here.
> An error occurred.
> Sorry, the page you are looking for is currently unavailable. Please try again later.
> If you are the system administrator of this resource then you should check the error log for details.
> Faithfully yours, nginx.
There are even explicit plugins that let users create UI components to control and visualize program inputs and outputs.

Now it's time for third-party plugins to add support. (I'm looking at you, Elgato.)
> Because the subject wasn’t engaged in a specific task, it was easy for researchers to think of the default network as something that comes on when you’re thinking about nothing. A little self-reflection, however, makes clear that our brains are hardly ever actually thinking about nothing. Even without a specific task, they tend to remain highly active, with thoughts and ideas flitting by in an ongoing noisy chatter. On further self-reflection, Lieberman realized that this background hum of activity tends to focus on a small number of targets: thoughts about “other people, yourself, or both.” The default network, in other words, seems to be connected to social cognition.
In his book, Newport argues that modernity is at odds with solitude and talks about the disadvantages of solitude deprivation.
It's still in development. I built a proof-of-concept from scratch almost a year ago, which I just open-sourced at the following link.
https://github.com/nonoesp/note-parser
I intend to develop it a bit more and host it online.
A previous prototype, really barebones, is at https://expensed.me.
The idea is to drag and drop (or type) a plain-text note and visualize the data as a scatterplot or other charts.
