I logged out because I couldn't really gauge the product without doing a lot of work.
Zenkit does what I'm talking about pretty well, if you're interested in this pattern.
Looks great, though!
The vast majority will not learn that ctrl + click does right-click, and that you can enable scrollbars again to actually see if there is more content to view.
Also, if he's not it kind of proves the point of the article.
I have a brand-new iPhone I bought for testing websites, and I use a beat-up Motorola just because iOS is so frustrating to use.
Apple needs some design lessons, Microsoft has been doing such a great job with Surface devices that if they could make Windows just a tiny bit better people I bet a huge percentage will switch.
Whatever you say, though.
How do you stop people from behaving like they do..? And why would you want to? Who should decide how people should behave (beyond established laws, of course)?
If people don't do something illegal that should be reported, they're being people. You have nice people, assholes, politically correct, politically incorrect, etc.
What does Soros not like about Mark Zuckerberg?
Unfortunately, it seems to me that new devs have to always bw kept entertained and know/care very little about the business, and would rather make the company tank and have fun experimenting and move on, than get the job done.
Maybe I'm getting old.
What is your point?
Aren't there laws that prevent discrimination on gender and race pretty much in every first-world country? That would make it illegal to pay a woman less for the same job.
If you consider jobs where the title is the same but the professional works B2B, maybe women are less likely to ask for a better pay? That's why pink razors cost more, after all.
Female soccer players make less money because less people watch and there is less money, same thing for BBC journalists who demanded the same pay even though they got 10% share compared to their male colleague.
There are so many variables...
They're on average more interested in people, so they tend to choose to become nurses, teachers, etc., while men are interested in things and become software developers, engineers, etc.
I have no idea why income HAS TO be distributed equally. Unless you want to force women to become software developers..? But why.
I find many comments on this thread pretty despicable.
Given China's complete disregard for human life, I don't find it odd that they're the ones doing it, but we should not praise the effort.
Even if it wasn't (like you seem to argue), I would rather realize than in 10 years many jobs will be automated, so you won't need as much manual labor and Japanese will be just fine.
Horizontal browsing on desktop (or even mobile for that matter), are you kidding!?
Mouseover will completely change the layout, etc. etc.
Just very bad in general.
I used to be an iPhone user for many years until iPhone 5. My Android phone broke and even though I also own an iPhone 6 for testing, it was so frustrating to use that I'm using my Android tablet as a phone until I fix my actual phone.
iOS is just stupid. You have to memorize all these gestures for no reason. No discoverability, I bet most people don't know about 80% of all available gestures. To go back to the previous screen I have to press firmly, then swipe—but all the way to the right, or if I stop I trigger overview mode or whatever is called.
macOS suffers the same problem, but to a lesser extend.
Unfortunately, Johnny Hive has completely lost it. He's been obsessed with out things _look_ instead of how people are going to use them—and that's why people keep hitting his glass walls at Apple's HQ. Steve Jobs kept design at bay and insured a mix of beauty and usability. Now that he's gone you can tell that products got worse and worse in terms of usability (but 1.2 millimiters thinner, and so beautiful).
Maybe with Hives gone things will improve. The MacBook Pro 16 is a step forward (besides ports).
How is that metric useful in any way, besides deceiving people and accuse other countries of being the bad guys?
It's industry which pollutes, not people. That's why it's so pointless to blame plastic straws and other silly things like that.
Maybe if we stopped buying things from communist China things would go better.
