nkalupahana··on Show HN: Vanilla JavaScript refinery simulator built to explain job to my kids
I think it would be great if the game also talked about various negative externalities at different points in the process (pollution, etc.). IMO would go a long way in making the game more well-rounded, and would add more varied content.
nkalupahana··on Cloudflare claimed they implemented Matrix on Cloudflare workers. They didn't
Not the first time Cloudflare has done this. Click around some of the docs for Realtime SFU, it's all AI slop. Hard to tell if anything is hallucinated or not. https://developers.cloudflare.com/realtime/sfu/sessions-trac...
nkalupahana··on Building a whiteboard out of glass
The product is SHAPE brand Sheet Glass, and the product description says it is "for use in picture frames, replacement window panes, painting, and other crafts and household projects", which I figured was enough of an endorsement for this use case. Not safety glass, but maybe I'll swap it out if the whiteboard ends up getting a lot of use and I keep it around longer term. This is essentially a prototype, so definitely open to changing things as time goes on.

baseline is licensed under AGPL-3, and is also completely free to install and use through normal channels. It's run by a nonprofit, which gets its funding from grants.

Thank you! I totally get it; it's a hard habit to build. I highly recommend setting a notification or two throughout the day when you know you'll be free to help remind you :)

Thanks for the feedback!

You can journal whatever you want; it's freeform text. The quantitative tracking is technically just for mood (although it's a scale from -5 to 5, so theoretically, you can track whatever you want as long as it fits on that scale).
