In practice, this never happens. The value is certainly less than the data you're selling about your users to Google.

You're not weird, but you're not a vim user, or the target of this post.

You're not observing very closely then. Or like, at all.

Virtualenv is not nice; it's a pragmatic yet laughable hack.

This problem needs to be fixed with education. The article demonstrates an extremely profound misunderstanding of technology.

The Tor bundle is necessarily less secure than something like Qubes. Tor and the browser should be separate. Advanced users are capable of evading fingerprinting in exactly the same way.

So how is that a solution? The problem is that Cloudflare blocks Tor, not Tor Browser: not every Tor user uses Tor Browser.

They are monopolizing and centralizing the Web to the detriment of everyone. You don't need to believe me, though: the free and open Web is on a march toward death, Cloudflare is one of the nails in its coffin, and I will be happy enough to say "I told you so" once the grave is filled.

We need to stop Cloudflare.

Ok, sure. Why does having a public ledger imply anybody can control your data? Can I take your Bitcoin? You're being outright stupid tbh.

Yes.

That isn't how a blockchain works.

No, the idea is that it's under collective control.

Good questions. The NFL has enough money for everyone affected.

> Why does the family of a murderer get a monetary reward? Even if it is proven the the CTE somehow cause him to commit the murders (which is a long shot), why would his family reap the benefits of the settlement?

Because the NFL is the murderer. Aaron was made ill by them to the extent he is not responsible for his actions. This is before you even get to the suicide.

Yep, but that's absolutely what's going to happen. People love to put square pegs in round holes. I'd be surprised if most things weren't DRMed within 5 years.

Wait until you find out that some of the best security folks didn't major in anything!

Nobody should be okay paying Apple or Google 30%. That is highway robbery.

They can be taken over.

There's still a _lot_ of trust involved here...

Nobody has done that since patch 2.3.2.

Recognized that the law doesn't apply to rich people?

Needs context

Please don't.

I'm not a pedant. To me, the word "pedantry" describes the colour of the sky. Get used to it.

Let's be part of the solution instead of the problem.

No it isn't, the URL is unreliable source of truth with Unicode spoofing attacks and things like that. Safari only shows the domain at this point; the URL is an unimportant implementation detail.

HTML is awful enough on the Web, why would you want that in your inbox?
