niix··on [dead]
Not sure if the post author works for Tilt, but going to the Tilt website it looks like you can actually see the A/B test taking place.

If you click on the top left logo, a page will load and then a few milliseconds later it will change to something else.

Might want to look into that, its a bit jarring.

niix··on Tardigrades are so tough, they can survive outer space
I can't stop laughing at the first line of this article "If you go into outer space without protection, you'll die.".

Its like the journalist really took to heart what she learned in her early writing classes about using an attention grabber.

niix··on Show HN: JavaScript Acid Techno Machine
This is great! Do you have the source anywhere hosted?
niix··on The new MacBook
Still seems to be that the 13 in MBP w/ retina is best compared to the new Macbook.

niix··on Django REST framework 3.1 released
Really loved this tool when I was writing Python.
niix··on My personal struggles with learning how to program
The beauty of this profession/hobby/lifestyle is that we are always learning. If I don't feel a moment of "wtf?" every so often, I know something is wrong. Programming can be very humbling and I wouldn't have it any other way.
niix··on Introducing Aurelia
I can agree that it is a bit overwhelming to keep up with the new 0day hotness. But in all honesty it's also exciting. Things are changing constantly, and mostly for the better. I am particularly glad to be a front end developer and enjoy the constant strive to learn the newest thing.
niix··on Introducing Aurelia
He has been doing the same thing for his other framework that has been around for much longer. I assume the note about training is directed towards those who have use his Durandal training/consulting and may be interested in doing the same for this new framework.
niix··on Introducing Aurelia
Been using Durandal for awhile in production, looking forward to the next chapter.
niix··on Game Development in Go

niix··on Ask HN: What language should I invest my time into?
Good advice. I almost kind of expected this sort of answer :)
niix··on This American Life: Batman
I really enjoyed this episode (and pretty much everything This American Life does). The one fact of the podcast that got me really thinking was how a lot of the blind will naturally turn to clicking in order to help me navigate.
niix··on Write You a Haskell: Building a modern functional compiler from first principles
This is awesome. I look forward to following the progression.
niix··on Understanding ES6 Generators

He must support the "use semi-colons in javascript" camp.

Exactly.
niix··on ‘Serial,’ Podcasting’s First Breakout Hit, Sets Stage for More
I'm absolutely in love with this podcast. I randomly stumbled upon it look for something else to listen to while waiting on new episodes of "Stuff You Should Know".

The story is so engaging. Congrats to Sarah and the team on their success!

niix··on Show HN: Disco Fingers – Easily create funny beats
Really want to try this, when is the iPhone version coming? :)
niix··on Apple Store Redesign
I wish the menu icons at the top were a custom web-font or SVG. They look a bit blurry.
niix··on Cult of the Dead Cow Publications
Amazing. I totally forgot about Cult of the Dead Cow. I remember reading articles on here when I was younger.

Edit: Just found this in the apps section `08-01-1998 - "Back Orifice" by Sir Dystic` - so awesome!

niix··on Winamp 2 in HTML5
Ah this brings back so many good memories. Looks like http://nullsoft.com/ is still up (for the most part). As a young developer I used to go through this site for little ideas of things to build. Justin always built awesome applications.
niix··on Show HN: Balls – Game I’ve made while I was learning Swift
Pretty fun, any chance of open sourcing it? Might be a good way for early Swift devs to get a foray into game development.
niix··on Meteor hits 1.0
Yay! Congrats to the Meteor team!
niix··on Brad Fitzpatrick on the future of Go
I've been writing Go for the past couple weeks and have really enjoyed it. My day jobs is in JavaScript land all day long, and while I really love JS I was looking for something more. Go has helped me think differently about how I approach my code in JS now and continues to be a great source of knowledge.
