> If The Valley was sad at the start of 2012, it was doubly sad at the end of 2013.

wow, good thing I left the Valley in 2012, it was sad indeed.

Disagree. You are thinking small, all of those industries were created in the last 100-200 years.

Depends on what features you want to build. If you do need access to the phone's native APIs, you WILL need to make a native app. HTML5 works great for first versions and specifically if everything can be done over back-end API.

HTML5 first, Native later. To make available more seamless "native" experience to the user.

Bitcoin market adoption looks like a skyrocket curve compared to other tech. Hence the early adopters window closed a while back during the first 4 years when 50 coins were being mined every 10 mins.

This is so good! Hoping YouTube takes a clue or two

No

Coming from a Bitcoin world, 2.1% + 30cents fees sounds ridiculous!

hmm, hope so!

This is definitely going to backfire. Stuff will be outsourced. The state should provide incentives to the best of IT crowd.

I suggest using a Samsung 4.x device (S3/4) and for 2.3.x: a Sony/Old Nexus S if you can find it! http://www.amazon.com/Sony-Advance-Unlocked-Phone--U-S-Warra...

lol

No. I am saying, if one does not give value to something, it is not valuable. And for me, that Ferrari is just a car.

"the product of years of research and testing"

All that to catch up with a Mexican Taco which predates the arrival of Europeans in Mexico?

Umm, NO. That car is a car. It is the value given to it and value which is extracted from it.

You are wrong in generalizing all coders. You may be a "coder" designing web sites, doing repetitive work. But there are many out there working towards improvising the workflow in Healthcare, Manufacturing, Entertainment/Gaming, etc.

And as for comparing a coal miner to a coder (personally find that as the best comparison to make when mocking someone who undervalues coders); there is no special added value the miner brings to his workplace compared to a "coder" aka software engineer, whose 1hr's work can make processes efficient and increase productivity for 1000 more people.

Overall, I like your style of writing from your perspective. There is the reality part you have added. But as for generalizing coders. Don't. Specially here on HN.

But does it accept Bitcoin?

No
