I would say that because of the Elixir dev shortage, it's easier to get hired for an Elixir job if you only have moderate Elixir experience than it would be for more mainstream languages if you had limited experience with them.
Compensation: $120-$180k depending on experience plus equity.
Benefits: health insurance, 401k.

Newspapers provide context and interpretation. And they are designed to be read. A big block of monospace text is not inviting for most people.
You could start with something like this:

Serious books, however, are incomparable more valuable than either fluff books or internet reading. They require a bigger investment, but they can give you whole new ways of seeing. That only comes through a substantial investment and effort to see with a new perspective.
Try some books that have stood the test of time, such as those published by Everyman's Library or Modern Library. Often insight comes not so much from keeping up with the bleeding edge, as from about understanding enduring truths about life and the world.

Moreover, the "power pose effect" is a subset of the general experience that posture changes mood. The opposite effect can also be observed. Try exaggeratedly slouching. It produces a near-immediate decrease in energy and confidence.
Perhaps hormone levels do not change, but the subjective difference is (for me at least) undeniable.
Take it for granted for a moment that posture affects mood. In that case, how do we interpret a failure to reproduce? Could it be a case that they were not testing exactly what they thought they were testing, but that the folk-knowledge of posture is still correct?
