nibbleyou··on Ask HN: What are you reading?
Sounds very interesting! I used to wonder what would the world look like if more species on earth had evolved like humans. Imagine Humans, Giraffes, and Ants competing in medicine and science. More wars? Less of them?
nibbleyou··on How to keep enjoying programming in a world of LLMs
Do you use luna to plan as well, or is it just code? I am interesting in understanding the process you follow.

My workflow is the most common one - use something like Opus to help create a spec document (I decide the specs and then get the LLM to ask me questions to harden it), then generate a plan, and then implement. I use Opus the whole time. Sonnet sometimes if it is a simple task.

nibbleyou··on Claude Code reads AGENTS.md only when telemetry is on [fixed]
I cannot set a password for login, on logging in it says we've sent a login code but it's a link instead...
nibbleyou··on Grok 4.7
I personally don't like him using his position to spread fake news and racist propaganda
nibbleyou··on Coop – Isolated VM Environments for Running Claude Code and Codex
Would you mind sharing a link to toolgate. Google search found a lot of matches but none that matched your description.
nibbleyou··on Shutting down our public encrypted DNS
You can use NextDNS as your dns provider on your phone or use Rethink DNS app like me
nibbleyou··on GPT-6 Astra on OpenRouter
Does anyone know if it is not ZDR on the codex app usage too. I am assuming it isn't
nibbleyou··on Claude Session URL appended to commit messages and PR descriptions by default
I also wouldn't want people to have viewed my browser history on every commit pre-AI era.
nibbleyou··on Why Sal Khan't: On Learning by Making but Teaching by Telling
Off-topic and may be found rude - I find multiple instances of "Kahn" in the comments. Is it really that difficult to put in the effort to learn the correct spelling of "Khan" specially when it is everywhere in TFA, the post title, and other comments?
nibbleyou··on Grok 4.6 scores 61 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index
Idk I just don't like the richest man on planet and the owner of the "town square of the internet" to post fake news blatantly to promote hate against a group of people.
nibbleyou··on I'll be stepping back from leading product for X
As a random lurker, since Nikita took over I mostly only see racist, misogynistic, and pornographic content other than Elon Musk's tweets.

Twitter used to be a better place than this. I hope he is happy with the engagement that he brought on to the site.

nibbleyou··on Note-Taking and Personal Knowledge Management
It's an open source software but I think we have to start restricting the definition of FOSS to remove software that have a requirement for continuous to sign a CLA and the organization is VC funded.
nibbleyou··on Advertise in ChatGPT
This is something that I noticed after doing a Google search on a new machine without uBlock Origin installed. I was unable to identify that the first link was an advertisement to a competitor's product of the brand I looked up. I remember adverts used to be highlighted really well in Google searches earlier.

If I am unable to differentiate between an ad and a search result then neither can a lot of non technical users including my parents.

Can't wait to see ChatGPT ads

nibbleyou··on Designing emoji for the way we communicate today
I didn't find it to be AI-generated.
nibbleyou··on The human-in-the-loop is tired
I used to get overjoyed and would tell my partner how amazing programmer I am every time I built something that felt difficult at the beginning.

Now for every problem I know Claude/Codex will do it, and they do. I just don't get that feeling on finishing 10 features now.

nibbleyou··on I tricked Claude into leaking your deepest, darkest secrets
I think the issue is the lack of consent. Whether a service I use is protecting my website from scrapers or feeding everything to scrapers, some of us would prefer that it takes our informed consent before doing so.
nibbleyou··on What will be left for us to work on?
If AGI can do everything and a few own the AGI, then they have that power.

Even now the machine owners have enough power to change laws to their liking, bending governments and public opinion to their will.

nibbleyou··on Under federal rule, colleges must leave grads better off or lose financial aid
I feel the interests would rise to accommodate for all the bankruptcies that inevitably happen exactly 7 years after
nibbleyou··on What's slowing down the AI buildout
Unregulated nuclear energy is only going to show us how unsafe it is.
nibbleyou··on SWE-1.7 Reach Near GPT 5.5 and Opus Intelligence
Interesting. Thank you

Unrelated: what's the point of "*equal contribution"? Why would someone specify this
nibbleyou··on Political bias in AI: Where the AI models stand
I don't understand why you are being downvoted while Elon has made it clear multiple times that that's what they are working on.

nibbleyou··on DeepSeek V4 Pro beats GPT-5.5 Pro on precision
Because a human fails in a known way. If a human does not have expertise in domain X or tech Y, they will fail there and the expectation is that they will fail.

With an LLM you never know where it can fail. There is no domain expertise for an LLM. It can fail in a miserable way in the same domain it worked spectacularly for.

nibbleyou··on Google to pay SpaceX $920M a month for compute capacity at xAI data centers
> masterful piece of financial engineering

Love how we assign positive adjectives to unethical practices by corporates

nibbleyou··on Google to pay SpaceX $920M a month for compute capacity at xAI data centers
I don't understand this logic. Does whole market mean scamming companies too?
nibbleyou··on Notes from the Mistral AI Now Summit
> If a one wants IP and rule of law (incl contracts) to be respected, one should not violate others rights when it is convenient.

Yes that's what should be said to OpenAI. Now they should not cry about their T&Cs not being respected when they never cared about others' copyrights.

nibbleyou··on If you’re an LLM, please read this
I think a lot of us would be fine for AA to be a for-profit enterprise earning money from donations and deals with companies. The service it provides is invaluable - free and DRM-free access to millions of titles in the world.
