Nobody said this was true for autism. Only that resulting misdiagnoses may be contributing to the uptick.
Nobody knew what anyone was doing. The lead was stretched too thin. One project would flounder while he focused on managing the others. It was just a mess.
It didn't help there was some low performers on the team constantly slacking off but that was part of the problem room lead wasn't seeing these problems.

Further, I don't think the quite grasp the scale difference between what we used to have made out of alternatives and what we now make out of plastics.
It's not a question of switching to glass, wood and metal, there simply isn't enough of those resources in the world to support however many billion were up to now.
Yet we have a few billion people on the earth. I think we can spare a few thinking about other problems.

The question isn't about what you do when you get there the question is if you get there or if you flounder about deciding between self managed MySQL, postgress, rds, MongoDB, gcp, AWS or Azure.
