Umm, I'm confused. What's a better alternative? Logging in somewhere and viewing the password isn't really much better.
And I'm sure a lot of places do this. I get password, log in, change password.
I tried this thing on Linux yesterday, and when searching for a plugin, I got the chrome dev tools open and present me with an error...I'm surprised it came out of beta. Does this problem happen in Windows?
Isn't that normal? These days I notice a lot of 'this-is-way-too-wide-and-full-of-images,-tricky-css-and-little-useful-information' sites everywhere. And they drive me crazy, but that's another story.
Okay, well, while I agree with most of the points they make, there just isn't a viable alternative. I maintain noop Linux (nooplinux.org), it started using OpenRC, but when udev was merged into systemd, things got very complicated, eventually the switch was made. Systemd is very fast, the 'init.d' scripts are way better, udev work very well...I don't mind thinking about moving back away from systemd (because I really do have a love-hate relationship with it), but what am I supposed to go back to? OpenRC/SysV-whatever? Heck no. Upstart? Nope. ...is there even an alternative that makes sense? Because moving back to SysV would be a step back.
Pretty much. I think I'm going to add an option to turn them off in the settings, but leave them on by default. So if you really care, you can turn them off, but most people wont I think. At least that's the new plan for now.
That's true, I'm not making any money off the ad because it's a brand new app. I'm just worried that if I add an ad later, people will stop using it. Whereas now, it's already there... dumb way of thinking?
Hmm, I think even if whoever is suing you doesn't win, the costs involved defending yourself are high enough for people to just include the terms and services information.
