We've had limits placed on human genome experimentation, but it seems the ability for 'independently wealthy empowered actors' to descend to supercomputers in their basement and make the decision for us on AGI progress is beyond reproach.
Does Carmack go into depth anywhere about his area of focus?

He certainly has it in him for another startup, his name alone could still generate hype (or attacks) on anything he creates. YC should keep their ears peeled.
I hope one day he agrees to a lengthy in-depth interview or documentary.
Its really cool stuff and you'll no doubt love it if you're keen on that stuff. He's also got a youtube channel under his name that is really worth checking out.

Think for a second back to 2016 and disturbing claims of Russian interference. That is what Republican voters feel like today. The shoe is on the other foot and now is your chance to steelman them or gloat and cover your eyes.
I seriously think you should revisit the site or revisit your post.
I think the article could've been improved by mentioning legitimate use-cases for NFTs.
