Your doing it wrong. Get a night's rest and get back to it in the morning and you'll code better than everyone else who stayed up all night.

They started off with that approach, the app had a pseudo home screen with quick access to different functions.

Ultimately I think it boils down to what you think of when you want to do take a photo or send a message which maps to (Facebook Camera, Facebook Messenger) more naturally than just Facebook.

So the filters aren't what really make it special, they just make it easier to take a cool photo on an otherwise limited camera. Most people are actually hooked once they get a few likes, from friends (or randoms if you hashtag your photos).

Spend 2 weeks on your product/biz and a day on your application. It will be a lot stronger.

Would like to see this functionality merged into Gon, https://github.com/gazay/gon. (and maybe Rails core someday).

I like this. A lot. It reminds me of Bret Victor's talk on being able to see what you're changing in a design live (http://vimeo.com/36579366).

The UI could use some work though, it's cluttered.

I think this is Apple's problem really. Path is just one of many apps that probably do this without asking you.

Ideally the OS should prompt you if an app wants access to your address book, just like it does for location.
