nazgul1··on Ask HN: Co worker does not like me
Hiya. You can do two things -- one, take it personally and get upset, and have things be awkward. Or two, take this a chance to get some feedback about yourself and see if you need to improve. Who told you about the comment? Can you ask that person if they agree? You could even approach the employee, say you heard that and that you genuinely apologize if you came off that way, and that you'd love to know what exactly it was so you can make sure not to do it again.

I really think you can turn this from something awkward to something positive with the right attitude.

An infinitive verb is a to verb. There's no to above, thus no split infinitive.
nazgul1··on Ask HN: Does a college degree hold more power than a strong portfolio?
Exactly. I have hired several devs who didn't finish college (or who hold a degree in something completely unrelated), but I do prefer candidates with the maturity college brings. I do think that maturity can come through other means (e.g., the military, or even travel/working), but some maturity level is required before stepping into this kind of work. Plus candidates need to remember that day after day more companies require degrees, so it only behooves them to get one now (better so via an affordable program).

Then it doesn't work properly in Chrome or something-- it's not letting me drag items to make them bigger than the screen size.

I like it a lot but it's unusable for me as I need to make things that are longer than the screen (often much longer), yet this forces me to work within size of the screen.

What is really interesting about this transcript is the people are named in full, with some addresses and other details (married, etc.) The hits, I'm assuming, were fake because the contact was undercover, but what happened with the targets? Did the one threatening him have to play along and no longer send the threatening e-mails once the undercover told him the job was done? Were they prosecuted in any way?
