nate_robo··on More Americans report near-constant cannabis use
Right, I acknowledge that in my previous comment. I was more referring to the mental sharpness or cognitive ability. I was curious if there was a noticeable difference in critical thinking/problem solving for users while they are not under the effects of the drug itself
nate_robo··on More Americans report near-constant cannabis use
I was always curious about the mental sharpness / memory portion. I know the short-term memory impairment is well documented but in regards to mental sharpness, that's a bit more nebulous and hard to hone in on. Is there any evidence that the use of cannabis effects cognitive ability while not under the effects or "high" of the drug?
nate_robo··on Bitcoin mining and energy consumption
Slightly off topic but would it be an advantage to use a low energy miner such as a Raspberry Pi as a bitcoin miner, or would that just be a waste of time and yield fractions of a cent / a cent per day? Admittedly little knowledge on bitcoin mining
nate_robo··on Money can be stolen from an Uber account
The same thing happened to me last week. Noticed a number of Uber charges being hailed from Moscow, Russia which was brought to my attention by Chase's fraud prevention. They recognized the charges as suspicious and denied to let any of them through so I ended up not losing anything besides my debit card which I had to cancel. Changed my password and ordered a new debit card and everything is resolved. However, I was very surprised to see a hacking effort towards an Uber account versus something like an Amazon account...
nate_robo··on Ask HN: What keeps you from exercising?
"Incredibly healthy" is a stretch when it comes to power-lifting. In fact, while power-lifting helps to rapidly gain and develop muscle, it's extremely unhealthy to your joints and poses a high risk of injury. For those looking to get similar exercise and results to powerlifting, check out body-building. Emphasis on slow and controlled form and muscle gain (aesthetics).

disclaimer - I've used SS with great results, however this is not a program for everyone, keeping in mind we are on a science/tech forum

I don't presume these offers are entry-level?
