Worst launch of a product in history.

All the hype for few vip customers.

We will be in Ibiza but more of a coincidence. I didn't even know that there is one when we booked.

What makes this eclipse VERY different is the low angle (3-4 degress), so the viewpoints need to be planned well.

Also the clouds further to the west are extremely important, for Spain there is

as well as

Not sure if SerpApi has read the court document but it will strengthen Reddit tomorrow

which feature?

It repaired an astonishing messed up permission issue on my mac

It won't. They will go straight to 5.4 for thinking: https://x.com/OpenAI/status/2028909019977703752

ok , so they are scared that 5.3 (pro) will be released today/tomorrow and blow it out of the water and rushed it while they could still reference 5.2 benchmarks.

ok , 'projects' but this would make a lot more sense if we could connect remotely to the projects which works without a problem using the IDE plugin, so right now I don't see any advantage of using this

Working remotely with the app would truly be great

The truth no one wants to hear

Juhn , I got swamped with their (annoying) (short) videos and also what I read about them was always more about selling than giving advice. It sounds like the lawyer you talked to had knowledge. I also find the 1.9k minimum fine compared to what the outcome can be

"I've written up all my notes from (paid) tax advisor calls and shared them on my website for free"

This is an incredible resource, it changed my view on at least one lawyer there to the positive side and confirmed my opinion of staatenlos

Thank you for the link. Very interesting!

The exit tax is absolutely insane and they even charge it within the EU.

Say you own a company which has a profit of 10.000 Euros on average the past 3 years. Before you can leave Germany you will have to pay taxes based on 137.500 Euros.

TIL about Git Brag because of your blog. It is interesting.

Love Astro and it is exactly my stack with Cloudflare but wow, the "Forward-Looking Statements" disclaimer is longer than the press release itself

Focusing on chinese medicine, meditation, mindfulness.

He had a burn out. He mentioned to me in the mid 2000s after Max Payne 2 that he could not touch or see a keyboard anymore.

I just saw him last year, he is in good spirits, programming a bit again iirc but we did not talk that much about it. Still one of the smartest people I ever met.

One of the lead developers is a friend of mine. In the mid 90s he was part of the Dust demo group, eg https://demozoo.org/groups/360/ so I guess then a lot of the algorithms were used for Max Payne then as well

Also interesting how his life changed after the game, he went a totally different route and left programming for good.

With many modern TVs just turning off energy savings will already enhance picture quality by a magnitude.

To my understanding the lawsuit is not about Reddit's content or copyright infringements but in more detail about using proxy farms and other measures to get Reddit content via Google's results and thus breaking the DMCA and they go against services providing the infrastructure to do so.

A bit comparable to how pressure was put onto payment providers to restrict sites with extreme adult content.

Side note: I find it super interesting in the filing https://fingfx.thomsonreuters.com/gfx/legaldocs/xmpjezjawvr/... that Google was able to provide them with the exact number of automated requests broken down by company.

The api is never the bottleneck but how fast the cli provides context. So just by using ripgrep it will be faster than using grep. On top of this concurrent code search compared to sync etc

the new 0.47 has a better performance now imho

Just yesterday they released a new 'Shared regular performance' offering https://www.hetzner.com/cloud/

"Sam says today Codex is out of preview and into GA. But which one! Codex CLI or Codex Cloud or both?"

The cloud version as "Starting October 20, Codex cloud tasks will also begin counting towards your Codex usage"

The "live" coding demo felt very staged with codex reasoning set at "low" and everything working ootb.

Remember "GPTs" and the thing before it which I don't even remember now. I think this will go the same route .. to nowhere

Love Codex but I think the only real difference to it being generally available compared to yesterday is

"Starting October 20, Codex cloud tasks will also begin counting towards your Codex usage."

Title does not match the content at all

Feels slower than GPT-5 and I understood it that medium should be a lot faster than high but for me it's almost the same , so I don't see a reason preferring medium.

The pelican is not so convincing though :)

So a bit in line with what Theo mentioned in his video that he was not happy with the ui capabilities
