Regardng ROMS: Keep the page clean of adverts with no direct download link of the roms, and you should be ok (for a while at least)
With other dev languages you chose the runtime and wait out the 'bad' versions. With browser based games you cannot do that and so are at the mercy of the engineers fix.

I have created a scratch to apk service (requires no permissions either) using javascript and then an apk signer (which can then be side loaded) - Job Done as they say.
If I restart the app it just goes into demo mode on one of the levels.
EDIT: Good job btw on the game speed!
It looks like I need to relearn the language that has paid my bills for so long....
javascript:for(i=4051;i--;)document.write(i%~80?'&#'+(9585+new Date%i%2):'<p style=margin:-.5em>')
I guess this will be similar.
But I may want my app to be installed to the sd storage.
On a separate note: can we not recalc the apk v1 signatures via a javascript crypto function?
Hopefully Godot doesn't exhibit this behaviour.

I develop directly on github - I even make all my commits to the Master branch, as this allows me to code with a nexus 7 tablet if necessary.
So this outage was a PITA for me. However I have plan B and started up tomcat...
Saved the day!
P.S. Thanks github for the free hosting! I can't really complain .
" neverending treadmill of having to implement obscure features that they didn’t even know they were relying on,"
I been coding emulators for fun (i.e. NES, Scratch) and it's been an interesting journey with all the gotcha's involved - however I don't think I have the motivation for any flash based ones, the only exception I've worked on my scratch2apk emulator (javascript) which has plenty of games going for it!
