mustachionut··on Ask HN: Good Fitness Band?
Makes sense. Could a fever still be detected with the wrist temperature? I was reading the wikipedia page on fever, and it has this interesting graphic showing different fever patterns: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fever#/media/File:Fever_Patter...

...so I was wondering if this could lead to rough diagnostic method using a temperature sensing fitness wearable.

mustachionut··on Caffeine: A vitamin-like nutrient, or adaptogen
People who aren’t super healthy don’t typically feel like drinking lots of caffeine. I think that’s a more likely explanation than caffeine having tons of assorted health benefits.
mustachionut··on Vitamin D looks powerful, underutilized for Covid-19
A low-cost Vitamin D blood test was FDA approved in 2011, and since then Vitamin D deficiency diagnoses have skyrocketed. Plus, the narrative works (humans need sun for vitamin D, but now humans are inside, thus humans need to supplement D).
mustachionut··on FastMRI leverages adversarial training to remove image artifacts
Even without anything fancy, is there a speed vs clarity parameter(s) when doing an MRI? It seems an easy improvement would be to spend more time getting a clear picture of the specific area of interest, vs now where the whole scan seems to be done at full clarity.
mustachionut··on Wuhan seafood market may not be source of novel virus spreading globally

No. From a new, anonymous account where I intend to post my opinions without them being tied to my identity. At least until I post enough for stylometric analysis to work...

mustachionut··on Wuhan seafood market may not be source of novel virus spreading globally
The allegation that the virus originated in a lab is appealing but unfounded. Everybody would rather believe that our problems come from circumstances humans understand and control rather than the cold randomness of the universe. Though the virus and death it has caused is terrible, at least the fight against it unites humanity in a limited way. The groundless assertion that it originated in a lab recasts coronavirus into a human vs human problem and amplifies our political differences.
