mpcadosch··on No Doctor Should Work 30 Hours Straight with No Sleep
Has anyone tried this service?

http://circadienhealth.pagedemo.co/

It seems targeted towards nurses, but could be applicable to physicians as well.

mpcadosch··on Ask HN: How do you keep track of your elderly parents' health?
Thanks for your reply. I was just wondering if there are any technologies that would help me make sure they're doing alright.
mpcadosch··on $35 Quad Core ARMv7 PC
Where can I get one???
mpcadosch··on NYC Subway REST API
Thanks @robbiemitchell for appreciating my work. I put many hours and a lot of effort to make this project happen, and as a student, need a way to support myself so I can continue to grow it. So @untog, it is a little offensive when you just ask contributors to give out their work for free.
mpcadosch··on NYC Subway REST API
Thank you johndunhart for the advice, I will definitely take into account this in the next iteration of the product.
mpcadosch··on NYC Subway REST API
This API uses the same source of real-time data as Google Maps and CityMapper
mpcadosch··on NYC Subway REST API
Sorry about that. What city would you like to see ?
mpcadosch··on Hackathon to Stop Online Child Sexual Exploitation (Aug 23, San Francisco)

mpcadosch··on Looking to leave law behind and asking for help
Hey!

A friend and I are experienced full-stack web developers starting a company in the legal technology space. We'd be really interested in speaking with you, are you free sometime this week?

mpcadosch··on Ask HN: living and working in US
Go to the US for an extended vacation (month or so), interview with as many companies as you can, and find one that will sponsor an H1-B visa. It'll be hard, but it's worth it.
mpcadosch··on Ask HN: Staying motivated, personal software products.
"I program to learn things" -> As long as this holds true, you're in good shape.

One day, you'll want to start a company, or get a particular job, and whatever side projects you're doing, however unfinished, will help you do that.

mpcadosch··on [Ask HN]: Where do you read most articles?
Thanks! Follow-up question: between laptop and tablet, which one do you use most?

I am just intrigued about this whole "tablets replacing desktops" thing, and I am trying to get a sense of what other people use.

For developers like me (and you?), a tablet could never replace a powerful computer. But for average users, the tables can do most of what a desktop does (email, netflix, facebook, etc.)

mpcadosch··on [Ask HN]: Where do you read most articles?
Thanks! So you think that desktop sales are just slower because people don't replace desktops as often as they replace smartphones? Just trying to better understand your argument.
mpcadosch··on Ask HN: how do you keep track of interesting stuff online?
Oh, really? Open aggregation of highlighted text? On the one hand it could be cool to compare what I find relevant to what others find find relevant. But on the other hand, can't it get too cluttered and distracting?
mpcadosch··on Ask HN: how do you keep track of interesting stuff online?
Oh really? Do you use the follow functionality?

I was thinking of getting a Kindle, and this may tip the balance :)

mpcadosch··on Ask HN: how do you keep track of interesting stuff online?
Thanks guys! This is incredibly helpful!
mpcadosch··on NYC Subway Data REST API
They do, but it's GTFS format...

Thanks :) Which station are you?

I couldn't find one with a 30 second interval.

"The arrival times listed on the website are likely just timetable times. Until the MTA releases real time data"

@aerialfish you are correct, this data is taken from timetables, as the MTA does not release real-time data. But it is probably very close

mpcadosch··on NYC Subway Data REST API
As promised, open source: https://github.com/mimouncadosch/MTA-API

Feel free to make it better :)

mpcadosch··on NYC Subway Data REST API
It's not yet, but will be soon :)
mpcadosch··on NYC Subway Data REST API
Hi guys, my initial project was to build a visualization like the one @artursapek describes, and ended up making this API because the MTA doesn't have one.

Totally agree that it would be really cool.

I made this nycpulse.herokuapp.com, but it could be so much cooler.
