We want to make creating geographic mirror worlds as easy as building a conventional website:
1. Register your 3D domain name 2. Download and install our open source software 3. Connect to the Square Bubble Grid
Movix is four UK based people. Two are seriously technical and super creative, the other two are creatives from the movie industry. We're all over 40, apart from Rob.
Here's our sketchy (literally) website www.movix.co.uk
Previously kubatan, and some close protection training. I rate Systema very highly, but I still think running away is the best self defence. As I mentioned in a previous post, go surfing for the best exercise of mind and body.
There are many, many flaws in the NHS, but what it does is pretty awesome, even if a lot of the time it's not perfect.
Never mind the Ashes,
A season
Just to contradict myself, if anyone wants to do about a weeks free programming on a Google Maps/Calendar mash-up project that we're going to provide for free to users, we'll swap for a weeks free arts/graphics 2D/3D work. Email in profile if you're interested, hope this isn't against the submission rules.
got to do with hacking?
I can't see any point in it.
These aren't intended to be flippant answers, these are how you'll make $$$.
If you're really, really desperate, you could try something like: www.therichjerk.com (not an affiliate link btw)
The reasons are this: anyone can use the tools without have to learn anything, it's really quick, the way it works tends to make you keep things simple (very important), you can create a template page and then cmd+V it across all the other pages (slides), you can scroll through the pages (try doing that in Photoshop), easy output to pdf/jpgs etc if you want to share and of course if you want to present the design...well 'nuff said.
If you're designing for Twitter I'm assuming that graphically you're doing something very clean and simple. This method helps you keep it that way.
"Recent studies show that Internet users spend as little as 50 milliseconds scanning a website before deciding whether it is of value to them or not." Source: http://www.messagingtimes.com/blog/2006/03/15/microcontent-m...
I'm curious as to how someone starts a site like Newmogul. What's day one like? Do they just have a load of links to news aggregated articles with comments from anyone they can grab around their office, and a lot of empty space on the site? Genuine question - how does it work? How do they drive their traffic in there?
You already have outside contracts to get you 'ramen profitable'. What are you waiting for?
Try something completely mad if you want to get out and interact with the world. What about moobile web development? Pull up next to the burger van at you local car boot sale, in your Mr. Webby trailer and offer 'By one, get one free' websites. IDK, just an idea.
If you're not into the whole brevity thing (quotes The Dude) I'd stick to the standard ways of getting your idea across. This just looks like a painfully difficult way of giving your next business away. 'scuse the cynicism.
As technology, yes of course there are loads of flaws, Dr. Who's Darleks must surely be the classic though. As far as movie design and art direction goes, John Barry the Production Designer spawned an entire new genre of sci-fi style.
They already did:
