motbus3··on Claude Code refuses requests or charges extra if your commits mention "OpenClaw"
It is funny in a sense that they did added a mitigation for openclaw as it seems.

But, if they did intentionally break other stuff, like charging more money, it would be a scam (not sure what is wrong but there is something wrong in taking credits without fulfilling the request)

But then they will just say "ah yeah, aí broke our tool it wasn't intentional, bla bla bla"

motbus3··on Brent Crude hits $119.56/barrel peak today
I'm not American. But couldn't this being held due to the mid terms? It already looks bad as is, but if inflation started escalating immediately with the conflict (or more than it is) wouldn't it make it for for electoral purposes?
motbus3··on Mozilla's opposition to Chrome's Prompt API
Chrome is not that good anymore compared to other browsers. I switched long time ago and if the doesn't work with basic features I just leave the site out instead of letting it use chrome to control me
motbus3··on Online age verification is the hill to die on
Imagine so if that was a pltr right Or like someone who uses pltr What could possibly go wrong? People are being paranoid for no reason!
motbus3··on Online age verification is the hill to die on
It is not like a digital control for id verification could be used anyway to control a narrative in war times right?

It seems there is a GitHub repo somewhere mapping Meta money to lobbyists inside other companies Which is at least interesting
motbus3··on HashiCorp co-founder says GitHub 'no longer a place for serious work'
It is not like MS is involved with AI and say they can make anything in minutes with AI too
motbus3··on HashiCorp co-founder says GitHub 'no longer a place for serious work'
Interesting! I worked with Gitlab and I also thought it was quite clunky. If it was not for the stability issues GitHub is fine. Any other alternatives to GH or GL?
motbus3··on HashiCorp co-founder says GitHub 'no longer a place for serious work'
Could be. But 99% of the repos are static garbage with no PR nor actions.

They mentioned they have some elasticsearch reindexing going to, I would guess they needed to regard or move stuff and something didn't work well. But if I understood it right they mentioned the PRs ES index which they didn't shared proof increased as the number of repos.

It might be anything. It seems they lost huge chunks due to layoffs and structural changes and MS which has the reverse golden Midas touch.

This is just pure speculation but also now there is no reason for MS to keep GH working. They absorbed all code they wanted. Now they can let it burn. Would be even better for them if that happened

motbus3··on Claire's closes all 154 stores in UK and Ireland with loss of 1,300 jobs
I'm curious to know why you think that. In a sense, I have a feeling we replaced all the middle-men for a single one who controls who and what can be sold and when. But the middle man is there closing whole Venice for personal reasons
motbus3··on Claire's closes all 154 stores in UK and Ireland with loss of 1,300 jobs
Seems like they'll be piercing whole human soon ba-da-ts
motbus3··on An AI agent deleted our production database. The agent's confession is below
Interesting. Indeed there are some sketch stuff
motbus3··on An AI agent deleted our production database. The agent's confession is below
it is not intelligent, it is not emotional and it certainly didn't give an explanation. After actions were taken it generated a text that complied with your expectation.

It is still a next word predictor that happens to have really good prediction.

Never ever give admin credentials to an agent. You would never leave your car without parking breaks in a slope would you?

motbus3··on Clay PCB Tutorial
I understand but if they succeeded, it would mean that they would be destroying even more the environment as they would be able to take mud from everywhere

I did a deepseek v4 flash Vs gpt 5 .5 comparison for a project and, honestly... Gpt 5.5 has no chance. Ive got a great output on a fraction of the price...

And gpt 5.5 wasn't even that good

motbus3··on GPT‑5.5 Bio Bug Bounty
25.000 for something you could either sell it for much more or put it free to cause them much more than 25k in damages for sure. Why this bounty is so low? They can't even argue that the prompt itself is a hack because that's just text. I'd they do, they need to rethink everything on how they fetch data for their models.
motbus3··on Girl, 10, finds rare Mexican axolotl under Welsh bridge
These damn mexican immigrants are everywhere! Just kidding. I love you mexican folks, just couldn't miss the joke
motbus3··on An update on recent Claude Code quality reports
I had similar experience just before 4.5 and before 4.6 were released.

Somehow, three times makes me not feel confident on this response.

Also, if this is all true and correct, how the heck they validate quality before shipping anything?

Shipping Software without quality is pretty easy job even without AI. Just saying....

motbus3··on Do you want the US to "win" AI?
I think this is a late realisation that people are having that none of those guys are good guys.

People passionate by science see rockets to go to mars, politicians see missiles and spy satellites.

I have a conviction that this was the intention all along. I really hope to be wrong about of this and there is a super good guy who will step up and stop all this nonsense.

I agree that the world where AI is a tool that everybody should have real access too should be the way, but history shows that power never came without oppression. Majority of people took all the risks as paranoia and/or do not have enough understanding.

The moment those tools became slightly better, they started to being used against the wills of everyone who helped building them.

We should stop believing that those folks in charge are good guys or simply doing mistakes. They are doing exactly what they have been working on for 10+ more years.

motbus3··on Mythos Falls into the Wrong Hands
As other mentioned, there is zero evidence of that, but of the company who claims did something so smart cannot use it to protect itself, it seems it is worthless.

Unless this is all lies to make people think Skynet is on the loose. And by now, anthropic and other aislopware are full of lies

motbus3··on All phones sold in the EU to have replaceable batteries from 2027
The batteries are critical but sometimes companies will also package the storage in same chip as CPU and ram which means that you have a dead processor when your storage wears out

motbus3··on Peter Thiel Is Building a Parallel Justice System – Powered by AI
How can a faulty unreliable system that is easily prone to manipulation can make part of justice system?
motbus3··on Anthropic downgraded cache TTL on March 6th
Maybe that's standard practice in the US. I live in Europe but have family elsewhere, in both places, such clauses are often disregarded by judges and illegal.

What judges say is that whatever is problematic should be dealt by customer support.

For example, provider X is faulty and causes damages to you or a third party. You contact the company and the company must have a procedure to give a formal answer when required.

If that's is breach of the contact, although not required by law, the company can offer to fix the problem or at least an explanation and why is that in the contract.

If you still feel that's a breach of the contract and the company is not willing to cooperate, then you can file it.

In other places, there are laws that cannot be undermined by forceful terms of service or contracts. For example, you have the right for law anywhere.

I more or less understand the whys of why US is like that, but it feels that the law is bendable.

motbus3··on jj – the CLI for Jujutsu
Thanks for the answer! To be honest, maybe because I've been using git for 16 years now, I find jj interface more confusing than git. All it takes to understand git, to me, is understanding the files and the operations.

There are annoying things for even experienced users like merging the history of merged repos, or sometimes patching a bisect for a bug.

Complex operations in git are complex and often there is nothing that makes them palatable enough to understand without really understanding git internal workings.

I will try once more when I feel my brain is more opened to the ideas jj is proposing. Thanks again

motbus3··on Measuring Claude 4.7's tokenizer costs
I've been using 4.6 models since each of them launched. Same for 4.5.

4.6 performers worse or the same in most of the tasks I have. If there is a parameter that made me use 4.6 more frequently is because 4.5 get dumber and not because 4.6 seemed smarter.

motbus3··on Cybersecurity looks like proof of work now
Interesting reading, but it brings me some thoughts.

Security was always about having more money/resources. Using more tokens is just another measure for the same.

Some previous post, which I cannot verify myself, stated that mythos is not as powerful as it seems to be as the same bugs could be found using much smaller/simpler models and that the method is the key part.

motbus3··on What Claude Code's Source Revealed About AI Engineering Culture
I understand your thoughts, but I don't think they will ever make that existing code good. Not sure if they want to and not sure if they can.
motbus3··on What Claude Code's Source Revealed About AI Engineering Culture
I guess that now people are more aware on how bad their software is, we cannot blame the "super intelligent ai" to not be ready yet.

The amount of regex matching people found os staggering

motbus3··on The dangers of California's legislation to censor 3D printing
Although people point out the occam's razor or whatever, i dont think this is true. As it happens with "protect children", "protect people" is the next blabbering speech to trick people accepting lobbied practices. Someone needs to track who is financing this stuff and I think it will make it much clearer. PS: I wouldnt be surprised if it was disney or something
