It's a lot. Think about it this way with taxis. That was an economy that prior to ride-sharing stayed entirely within the local economy. Now there is a giant funnel the takes most of that money and funnels it to Silicon Valley and investors. That money exits the local economy for the most part now. And take this and apply it to everything tech.
I truly despise these people. This calls for a more hardline change, one that takes down the Libertarian techno kings. If they spare their own labor system...it will be ugly. They're pushing us so far into a corner there is no where left to go.
Like either he's getting iced out of the White House or there will be revolution in the street. You can't be the richest person and ask the country to brace for economic hardship. We don't live in society that can take that. Neoliberalism and deregulation have taken patience to the brink for the majority of voters. Like what America is he living in where voters are going to put up with that?
I'm not one of those reflexive Elon Haters, or onboard with the most leftwing radicals. I consider myself pretty middle of the road, but I am American and I believe that traitors should be dealt with as traitors. The United States (including control of our space assets) cannot be taking orders from Putin, a man who wants us destroyed. Elon must face the full consequences of his treason, including the ultimate punishment.
