moizrocky1··on Ask HN: How's Everyone Feeling Today?
I found my "one" and I apparently "lost her." Praying she returns... not another temporary run, but this time really have a future together.
moizrocky1··on Ask HN: What browser do you use?
I've been using Dia, and this got better after the recent inclusion of Spaces similar to Arc.

But, I'm suffering from RAM issues. Got 24GM RAM M5 (Non-Pro) MacBook Pro and about 10-15 tabs open, I'm consuming 19GB RAM with 5-9GB RAM in swap.

I mean... now I'm wondering if I should've got higher RAM.

Since I came from Air M1 8GB RAM, I thought 24GB is plenty enough but seems like not.

moizrocky1··on Why remote roles are region specific and not 100% remote?
I'm pasting my earlier reply to somebody else below. Would appreciate your thoughts:

The remote roles I have are all contractual. I mean, most companies want to save money — especially capitalism's capital — USA. What's stopping startups and other mid-scale companies from hiring employees on a contract that is listed as a "contract role" and not "full-time"?

Regarding the time zone differences, I overlap pretty much with 8 hours EST. Also, most roles require you only to either overlap 4 or 6 hours, at least that was my experience. The point I'm getting to is, I could even overlap with PST hours healthily unless I was based in somewhere like Japan, Korea, or anywhere in Southeast Asia or Australia.

moizrocky1··on Ask HN: Anyone still do work on Intel Macs?
My friend has the macbook pro with that Touch Bar... apparently he bought it just a month before M1 dropped. Silly guy!

But I see him still using it and when the fans are on, it's like a jet engine.

moizrocky1··on Ask HN: I still don't understand why AI agents need "skills"
Something like instructions in Projects? Or how? Could you please describe the pros and cons of each and when to use each?

That'd be truly helpful!

moizrocky1··on Ask HN: Have LLMs Plateaued?
Been using Kimi, and yeah... the American ones seems like heading nowhere new.
moizrocky1··on Ask HN: What's Your BHAG?
I mean... isn't everybody's dream stuck at nowhere land because of just one individual, i.e., Trump? When he leaves office, I'm pretty sure the world should heal and all of our dreams should come true.
moizrocky1··on Ask HN: Sectors that are inherently resistant to AI-ification?
In white collar job I think marketing and sales are the most safest roles. AI is going to exist no doubt, but it can never understand human psyche, needs, or trends.

I mean, we're still playing around with the copy that any LLM gives to make it sound perfect... and I'm only talking about a copy then you see what's the state of other aspects.

moizrocky1··on Ask HN: Crazy as a Service – does it exist?
Am I the only one who doesn't know what you're talking about?
moizrocky1··on AI the Singularity and where we are
I used to run my podcast a while back and while talking to a head of Agentic AI at an AI company, he said that in actuality singularity is rather 50yrs away or requires a next evolution in tech for it to be possible.

Right now, it is what it is... meaning the AI tech isn't going to be transformational.. just things here and there and better than before.

moizrocky1··on Ask HN: How many AI agents do you actively use?
I just use 1... been using Kimi and it’s been great.
