mnunez··on Is infinity an odd or even number? (2011)
Well, I asked ChatGPT:

> Infinity is not a number, odd or even, but rather a concept or a mathematical idea that represents an unbounded or limitless quantity. Infinity is not a real number that can be used in ordinary arithmetic operations, but it is used to describe a quantity that is larger than any finite number. Therefore, the concept of odd or even does not apply to infinity.

I just got 97.9: I wish it would allow saving a specific run to load with a link.
mnunez··on Hacking Google Maps with a wheelbarrow full of phones
That is as much hacking as pouring water over a public pluviometer. Might even be closer to vandalizing if you asked actual users of that route during the experiment. But, to be fair, I enjoyed it a lot when it was first posted.
mnunez··on Beej’s Guide to C Programming [pdf]
Just found out that it has an actively maintained GitHub repository, with 35 or more commits this April alone. https://github.com/beejjorgensen/bgc/commits/main
mnunez··on Ask HN: Any good books on the history of the internet?
A book that I loved since the first time I picked it from a library shelf back in 1998 or so, "Computer - A history of the information machine", lists the following book as additional resource about the history of the Internet: Abbate, Janet (2000). Inventing the Internet[1].

"Janet Abbate recounts the key players and technologies that allowed the Internet to develop; but her main focus is always on the social and cultural factors that influenced the Internet's design and use."

mnunez··on I've been writing TILs for 5 years
I found myself wanting to read the Javascript section in one go after opening the first few entries, so I did:

  u="https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jbranchaud/til/master/"; curl "${u}README.md" | sed -e '/### JavaScript/,/### /!d;//d' | awk -F'[()]' '{print $2}' | xargs -n1 -I{} curl "$u{}" >> til-javascript.md
