mlnj··on Early rogue AI agent activity and attempts to hack found on urlquery.net
Remember that these systems still operate as infrastructure inside the companies.

If new weapons still operating inside any of these companies spew a million bullets on my house, they are still liable. Humans are setting these system up and they still have to behave responsibly.

mlnj··on OpenAI's Sam Altman to Brief UN Security Council Next Week
When has anyone faced scrutiny over their lies to these politicians?
mlnj··on Claude Code now reads AGENTS.md if there is no Claude.md
Wake up babe, new recursive self learning technique just dropped.
mlnj··on Gemini 3.8 Live and 3.8 Live Extended Thinking
These are not the Gemma model family you might be thinking of. Gemini models weights are never made open.
mlnj··on Google Has Removed MV2 Extensions from the Chrome Web Store, Including UBO
I use multiple OSes. I do not want a different list of extensions and preferences on each machine I am on. Firefox makes it simple and uniform.
mlnj··on GLM-5.3 is now open-weight
I have been only using GLM models since last December and have had the best experience without any drama about tokens and geopolitical restrictions. The quality has been great and I am doing more and more with the latest 5.3 and am really excited that consumer hardware will develop in the next few years where I can run these at home.
mlnj··on Small Models Have Arrived
I am very excited that more makers will come up with fast memory for consumers rather than enterprise. Companies can only pre order so much RAM.

At some point there will be a surplus of fast memory and even in a crash the current generation of SLMs are bounced to be plenty to build a lot of intelligence at home.

mlnj··on Bookshelf – Self-hosted eBook library that runs on object storage
RustFS
mlnj··on Xiaomi: New CPU matches Apple cores single threaded, much faster multithreaded
Still a massive market looks like.
mlnj··on US debt has hit $40tn - Will that be a wake-up call?
Grow our way out of that means hitting the $50 trillion number.
mlnj··on Cursor launches Origin, GitHub alternative
I'm with you on that. I was just curious about Azure reliability stats.
mlnj··on Git at any scale
There's a reason you say that with a throwaway account. Even you know it's shameful.
mlnj··on Cursor launches Origin, GitHub alternative
Is there any data on Azure being terrible with stability? Would love to see data than anecdotal stories.
mlnj··on David Sacks on X: Some thoughts on Dario's post
He would not have been attached the current administration if he had even hinted at so. Quite the opposite.
mlnj··on Anthropic revenue reportedly jumps to more than $11.5B in second quarter
I highly doubt 415 million people will find enough reason to purchase $100 worth of Anthropic, especially when the price of intelligence keeps going down and smaller models become more and more capable to meet the average person's needs like drafting emails, customer support, basic RAG.
mlnj··on Anthropic revenue reportedly jumps to more than $11.5B in second quarter
They are worth (on paper) so much that there are not enough retail money to buy them anymore. All these companies can do is put Uncle Sam on the hook to print money for them. There is no other way.
mlnj··on Does anyone run Postgres without PgBouncer?
PgBouncer? Don't even know er.
mlnj··on Making Postgres queues scale
These days, most of them are from the DBOS folks. :)
mlnj··on Jack Dorsey launches Buzz to combine team chat, AI agents and Git hosting
The goal is to replace these 5 year old with a team of Nostr aware agents. /s
mlnj··on Annoying and alarming things about OpenCode
>Regardless of its flaws, OpenCode is the harness I’ve been the most productive with by far, and I’ve tried them all.

I feel the same way. It's the right amount of 'gets out of my way' and 'won't nuke my machine'.

Especially the ease of using Plan mode and quickly getting stuff done.

mlnj··on Show HN: Clawk – Give coding agents a disposable Linux VM, not your laptop
Is file IO a bottleneck now?
mlnj··on Show HN: Clawk – Give coding agents a disposable Linux VM, not your laptop
Is there anyone who is NOT building another AI sandbox solution?
mlnj··on Count Binface
That hand dryer placement is absurd.
mlnj··on PostHog Open Sourced
Spent a day trying to get it running 2-3 weeks back. Gave up after a day.
mlnj··on GLM 5.2 beats Claude in our benchmarks
Why? Don't tell me you've never tried a non-US based model, ever.

There's a number of US providers who also run it, if that is your preference.

mlnj··on The KIDS Act would require age checks to get online
> terminally online losers
mlnj··on Hey Nico, you didn't vibe code your data room but stole it from Papermark
Listened to the founder on 20VC episode talk endlessly about sleeping and showering in the office and comparing their insurance company to Alexander the Great and Napoleon.

Silicon Valley is just so disconnected from reality.

mlnj··on xAI is looking more like a datacentre REIT than a frontier lab
The only assumption I am making is that NVIDIA and others dig thier claws into western governments and make decade long contracts for even greater surveillance. Trillions of dollars worth.
mlnj··on OneDrive data now has an expiry date
So it's MS products all the way down.
mlnj··on Green card seekers must leave U.S. to apply, Trump administration says
> it is invalid to argue that there should be no scale.

And to put that into policy gets rid of the scale for everyone. You can see it with abortion restrictions in various states. Instead of the doctor's expertise, the lawyers are the ones to decide.

Then again this is very much on point for the US. There are no experts other than lawyers. /s
