Also applied for Codex Open Source - within 2 days I got confirmation and using it since then. Great Job OpenAI! Shame on you Antrophic for not even sending out a refusal message with the cause.
I am on a Macbook Pro M1 Pro running Asahi and a 28 inch external display via USB-C / dp alt mode as of typing this comment. They have a `fairydust` branch in their kernel repo which is meant for devs to test and hack on dp alt mode support, but it just works for me without problems.

Java 25 is an LTS release.
If you want see what's coming in Java 23 you have to check https://openjdk.org/projects/jdk/23/ - the only source of truth. If you look at the Schedule of that page you will see at least before Rampdown Phase One there still is time to add new JEPs. And there will more JEPs be added for sure, that's how it was done in the past.
I am a bit worried, even though the patches seem to be "stable", they will miss the deadline... (since I would need those features as well)
This years feature freeze will be on April 8th (https://www.postgresql.org/message-id/flat/9fbe60ec-fd1b-6ee...), so if it does not get committed within the next two and a half weeks it will miss this years Postgres release in September...
Best Linux laptop I ever had, using ThinkPads and Dell for many many years (14 years in total now)
Personally, after a long time Thinkpad and Dell XPS user, I am so happy about my Macbook, which is my first, they will have to try hard to win me back. And I am saying this as non Apple user (never had an iPad, MacBook, iPhone, whatever). Asahi + Macbook Pro is really really great and IMHO, even in it's early stage and IMHO for Linux enthusiastics will be the killer device in the upcoming years.
BTW: I bought the Macbook in April and gave macOS a serious chance (after being a pure Linux user since 15 years). Tried to set it up for my needs... But I gave up in July, I just can't handle it, for me it's like a toy. It's good for people (like my wife) who browse the internet and do some office work, but for software devs that need to get shit done fast and like to have an open system its... kind of crap (just my pesonal opionion).
