miloshadzic··on Google’s Scientific Approach to Work-Life Balance
Yeah all of them were shot on film. I had two cameras, one was a Yashica GTN(those that don't have a leak) and a pocket Fujica. I'd had fixed the leak if I knew about it but the thing is I got it right before the trip heh.
miloshadzic··on Google’s Scientific Approach to Work-Life Balance
Heh. I took a photo of that same girl(I think) on the cover photo when I was in India: http://www.flickr.com/photos/miloshadzic/7102823323/
miloshadzic··on The New TextSecure: Privacy Beyond SMS
This a million.

Is a desktop version in the cards?

EDIT: Yes, yes I can't read :D

miloshadzic··on We work a 4-day week and just raised $4.75m (2012)
Yeah, finance. That explains it.
miloshadzic··on Tips on Writing Dockerfiles
I think production ready is relative. People have different risk appetites.
miloshadzic··on Popularizing Haskell through easy web deployment
Consider that what is realism for you is just FUD for someone even moderately into the language.
miloshadzic··on Popularizing Haskell through easy web deployment
I feel that while type information is useful, some of the more advanced libraries have signatures that are very difficult to reason about.

Disclaimer: Didn't write read a lot of Haskell so it may be just that.

miloshadzic··on Surprise, new Rails vulnerabilities
Yeah, sorry. I didn't bother with looking at the exact date.
miloshadzic··on Surprise, new Rails vulnerabilities
Nice infomercial post that covers the same ground as the release announcement on the rails blog from a few days ago.
miloshadzic··on Why Japan Is Crazy About Housing
Wait, what? 250k for building permits?
miloshadzic··on "Ode To Ubuntu's Unity Dash". The Poem.
Doing Crossfit would probably break the Dash even more.
miloshadzic··on Idiomatic Clojure with LightTable
It's easy to get carried away with everything. My advice: start with an editor you know and use everything vanilla. You'll appreciate better tools more once you spend some time and get a feel for the pain points.
miloshadzic··on Four years of Go
I know Ruby and some Go and never really understood why people compare them so much. Very different languages.
miloshadzic··on Namecheap now offer .io domains
Whatever the name, they provide a good service. I have an .io domain with Gandi but if Namecheap was offering io domains while i was shopping for it I would have went with them.
miloshadzic··on Science has lost its way, at a big cost to humanity
You missed his point. Science pays itself off in the long term but in the short term it is a pretty bad investment. In the current economy we favour short term gain hence why science is in decline.
miloshadzic··on For the Love of God, Ask FizzBuzz
I've never participated much but people say that if you get some practice there, algorithm heavy interviews go a lot smoother.
miloshadzic··on For the Love of God, Ask FizzBuzz
Never said that it isn't useful.
miloshadzic··on For the Love of God, Ask FizzBuzz
Project Euler, while great, is more about neat math tricks than actual programming.
miloshadzic··on Cheaper to rent in Barcelona and commute to London
If you're a developer and doing that, you're probably doing it wrong. That's 3 hours of your life you could've spent doing whatever. Even looking at cats is better than sitting(if you're lucky to get a seat) in a train for 3 hours.
miloshadzic··on Tweetbot 3
I think that it looks great. Much better than the last version.
miloshadzic··on Lime – Experimental Sublime Text clone
Why not build it yourself and submit a pull requests with a screenshot? You have the source and he wrote that he's accepting PRs.
miloshadzic··on Hk, The new Heroku Client written in Go
This is the kind of thing that Go shines at.
miloshadzic··on Ask HN: Do you see the future in Go?
It's probably the best language for writing small unix programs. I personally, wouldn't write very large software in it but obviously there's a lot of people doing just that. It's statically typed with a rather simple type system and doesn't do functional programming very well. Those things aren't appealing to me. What it has is a great toolchain, fast compilation and is a lot like a nicer C.
miloshadzic··on Ask HN: Where can I work a 30 hour week as a Software Engineer?
If you do decide to try it. Build up a bit of buffer so you don't feel the need to get a god client on day one. The market right now is really good so it's a good time to check out how it works for you.

Good luck in any case.

miloshadzic··on Ask HN: Where can I work a 30 hour week as a Software Engineer?
You could start freelancing but I'm sure you already thought about that.
miloshadzic··on Tarsnap logo contest
You are right if you focus solely on designers from countries with a high cost of living. I'm pretty sure the friend who did my little shop's logo(you can see it at http://rightfold.io) could make something that Colin likes for less than 500$.
miloshadzic··on Mozilla's New Fira Typeface
Segoe UI is extremely similar to Frutiger Next, which is an expanded and slightly reworked Frutiger. That's what the whole fuss was about -- Microsoft not paying for a Frutiger Next license.
miloshadzic··on Mozilla's New Fira Typeface
Ironically they are both in the same neutral family. https://www.dropbox.com/s/peqvvtw50ko6kbv/Screenshot%202013-...

That's probably also the reason why you think that it is meh.

miloshadzic··on Mozilla's New Fira Typeface
I've seen some shit fonts but this one...
miloshadzic··on Mozilla's New Fira Typeface
To my eye, only the name looks similar.
