milkmiruku··on You might not need JavaScript
I would like to see more sites that use an uppercase title making it so via CSS so I can copy/paste that without having to copy from the source <title> or be lazy and rewrite.
milkmiruku··on The Myers-Briggs Personality Test Is Pretty Much Meaningless
maybe it's easier to be existential over essential with Myers-Briggs style systems? less rooted in the stars, though i guess overall humanity is now in a position to be getting smart about mixing and matching which references and metaphors work and which don't, depending on context. all abstractions are leaky, though it's easier with some to frame a flow of change.

e.g. later Wittgenstein, process relational, integral theory, chaos magic

YEEZ. If one can't be bothered rewriting the title from a site that fails to use CSS to make an article title all upper case, view source and copy it from the page title element.

milkmiruku··on Adblock Plus is probably the reason Firefox and Chrome are such memory hogs
I use a wiki instead these days. I like tags and social bookmarking, and a wiki is quick and easier to self host.

Edit:

also https://github.com/343max/TabHibernation great to save resources when processing too many tabs. also, https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/session-buddy/edac... for snapshots in case you do crash

otherwise, Readability

milkmiruku··on Show HN: Skimmable Videos
thank you, very nice! i had to double take to click on 'All' to find the demos. an automatic next play / playlist would be useful. how about a feature that allows one to jump between videos, to refer to sections and insert video, comments, etc.? VJing with pattern presets..
milkmiruku··on Data Visualization with JavaScript
Minor bug; hyperlinks in the main text appear above the dropdown Contents menu (using Chromium 40.0.2193.0).
milkmiruku··on Flynn: first preview release
I too am interested in the comparison with such projects and the differing requirements they cater for. I'm also working on some notes on https://wiki.thingsandstuff.org/Stack if anyone is interested in bettering the order/outline/etc.

The third decade of Linux development.
milkmiruku··on Why is nobody using SSL client certificates?
Anyone know the story about where browsers actually are at with these UI bugs then?
milkmiruku··on Notes on computer science, math, research, programming, and industry
I love your wiki! I do the same on https://wiki.thingsandstuff.org . Same reasons here, note taking and knowledge outlines. Mainly for Linux, making websites and other tech, but various misc. things I'm also interested in. Fairly organic and often incomplete, but hey, that's a wiki for you. It ties in with a bit of constructivist learning theory also, helping frame things, though I know I need to refactor more to smooth out how much each article covers.
milkmiruku··on Show HN: Upboat, idea validation with a twist
Hey puneetsmail, just saw this. You still seeking?
milkmiruku··on The internet's rising secret social code
Are there any methods available for a UK resident to view this article, other than going through a non-UK VPS?
milkmiruku··on [dead]
I would love to hear some fictions on what a turnkey user stack might look like, reworking current and emerging social site features and patterns with current and hypothetical open and federated social web protocols and encryption to provide the decentralized convenience of tomorrow.
milkmiruku··on Google Drive for Linux is here (3rd party app)
Been using Insync for a couple of weeks from AUR, works better than nowt, though the flat hierarchy of Google Drive is annoying.

Encryption would be a really nice feature. Anyone got recommendations for related solutions?

Ambient and drone work well for me. Brian Eno's Thursday Afternoon and Soma.fm's Dronezone stream are favourites.
