The title is misleading, he clearly did a lot more than google "blonde". Turn safe search off, go to second page of results, click "more of these". There was nothing innocent about his actions, he was looking at porn at work. What did he expect?
The guy sounds like a moron, but one that knew exactly what he was doing, rather than the ignorant & innocent moron he tries to claim to be. Total BS explanation.
Maybe, but it has very little to do with the fact that they did it in google docs and everything to do with being skilled animators. If they are skilled with motion graphics, why wouldn't they also charge the $20k market rate that you are quoting? Being talented != explosive startup
I don't see how you could possibly consider the catastrophic nature of the situation only in terms of financial cost and not environmental. No amount of money can bring back extinct species.
I don't get this. In your blog post you say "Themeforest has a “no support” policy which is understandable.", but then you decide that because you have paid for the theme, its not unreasonable to ask for support? Can you not see the problem here? If the terms of the sale are no support, then it doesn't matter if you paid for the theme or not, you aren't entitled to it. You are lucky you got a response at all, let alone a follow up email! A "take a look at this problem for 5 minutes" never takes just 5 minutes, and has the task switching cost as well. I'm sure he could easily spend all day looking at "5 minute problems" from people who have purchased the theme.
So rather than using consistent language, so that users learn that no matter what SaaS site they are on, to look for the “See Plans and Pricing” link, each site should come up with their own copy? Do you even understand UI/UX consistency at all?
Also self promoting your own crappy blog on HN is pretty lame.
