It’s literally there in the subheading which I will quote:
“Speed of departures has been driven by series of child abuse scandals and accusations of a cover-up”

It’s just incredibly clear that you actually don’t have any kind of meaningful understanding about how the military or intelligence agencies work and you are left yelling about a world that exists in your mind. The entire comment is just Swiss cheese to anyone with even a passing familiarity on any of those topics.
Yes, it genuinely is a mess where people are continually reinventing the same things again and again on a loop and no two projects are the same, almost none of them are by the very nature of being React particularly well aligned with web platform standards and have major parts of their ecosystem captured by weird VC companies who don’t have the same priorities as your developers let alone your organisation.
That’s not particularly true for say Angular or jQuery or Web Components etc.
I’m pretty open to being wrong on this one but do you have any case studies to point to that say otherwise?
If anyone wants to see a proper non bullshit breakdown explanation of this topic from professionals I would highly recommend this video:

I don’t mean to say there isn’t a story here, there absolutely is, it’s just not the one represented by the headline.
The story is actually about employers trying to do some really sketchy shit and trying to use the kinds of network analysis techniques that are typically used in a counter terrorism investigation to uncover employees trying to unionize along with the kind of morally bankrupt companies who are selling them the kind of software to help them do that.
The long term answer is the Accessibility Object Model spec currently under development.
The current answer is to build a replica DOM structure for accessibility purposes.
If that does turn out to be true it’s a major turning point in world history as the US discovers they are now are no longer the most powerful airforce in the world and has some very real and very serious knock on effects that come with it.

If you happen to like that approach more that’s cool keep using it but it’s not the done thing in any mainstream modern UI framework that I’m aware of for a reason.
