memoryfault··on Nokia Microsoft to Launch a Windows Flip Phone
The hardware buttons in the concept images look like they are for Android.
memoryfault··on Getting Started with AppHarbor – Heroku for .NET
I kept getting "invite code not found" errors. If you have any more invites, I would love to get one.
memoryfault··on Getting Started with AppHarbor – Heroku for .NET
Looks awesome. Can't wait to try this out...unfortunately the invite code seems to have expired.
memoryfault··on The Hacker's Path
You are not an idiot...but it is annoying. Are all the IE's displaying it incorrectly, including IE9? I'm using IE9 beta and pretty happy with it. Makes me sad that I can't view your page :)
memoryfault··on IE9 Outperforms Other Browsers for HTML5 Compliance
Source?
memoryfault··on Windows 7 tablet vs. iPad
Windows 7 was not designed for touch. We have known this for years. I don't see why this blogger would expect anything different. Wait for a tablet running software designed for touch, and then compare. Yes, Win7 is the best MS has out there right now to compare to, but I still argue that this is apples to oranges.
memoryfault··on EVE player destroys over $1000 worth of game time
Too many acronyms that I'm not familiar with because I never played Eve. Can someone translate?
memoryfault··on Reddit costs $33k/month to operate?
What is toadjaw? The homepage didn't seem to have any info.
memoryfault··on Microsoft to employees: 'everybody gets a Windows Phone 7'
>Except it does have a lot in common with the Windows Phone, as I already said, plus a lot more.

You're right, they are both phones. Anything else?

memoryfault··on Microsoft to employees: 'everybody gets a Windows Phone 7'
Google gave everyone an android right? I don't think this move is tacky - It's a very smart idea and it probably boosted morale at the company.
memoryfault··on Microsoft to employees: 'everybody gets a Windows Phone 7'
Question: You are the largest software maker in the world. How do you get a good developer base for your new phone OS coming out?

Answer: Give every employee said phone.

memoryfault··on "Work for Hire" Contract Submitted as Evidence in Ceglia v. Facebook
Consequences...will never be the same.
memoryfault··on Membase: A distributed key-value database for modern web applications
I've been working on a distributed scalable social web 2.0 AJAX HTML5 iPhone database in the cloud...it's going to be awesome.
memoryfault··on Subprime, Student Edition - and what happens when the system crashes?
Frontline did a great piece on this called College, Inc.
memoryfault··on ReactOS
I think the term you wanted him to look up was 'free software'.

memoryfault··on "You alright?" She asks, "We're not even yelling at you...yet"
I thought it was a pretty hilarious comment by the interviewer and thought it would make a good title for the article. I found the blog post interesting (and entertaining) to read. I agree that the Nixon reference was a little absurd.

Edit: They put up the clip from that scene. Zuckerberg is sweating his ass off.

memoryfault··on Google ditches Windows on security concerns
And what happens when someone exploits Linux?
memoryfault··on Google ditches Windows on security concerns
Security in software is relative. Everything is vulnerable. If someone wants to hack into Google's super-secret data and Google is running Linux or Mac OS X, then the hackers will find exploits in that software. This article is a joke for implying that this switch will in any way make them more secure.
memoryfault··on The Internet Explorer 9 HTML5 Canvas Campaign
You should check out their blog, they really seem to be making an effort to do just that.

memoryfault··on The Internet Explorer 9 HTML5 Canvas Campaign
Interesting. I heard they aren't supporting WebSQL because they teamed up with Mozilla to propose a different local storage called IndexedDB.

Anyone have a clue as to why there is no canvas support in IE9PP? The IE team has been big on pushing the fact that the want to support the standards - is there some controversy around the canvas element like there is around WebSQL?

memoryfault··on Please review my app: RightRental.com - Carfax meets Zillow for Renters
I'm curious why you ask users to run Safari / Chrome and not Firefox or IE8? Are you writing your site against webkit specifically?

Other than that, it's a great looking site. However, I found myself leaving quickly since there was no data on rentals near me (or in my state, for that matter.) I suspect this will be your biggest challenge moving forward.

memoryfault··on Why I Don’t Work At Google
Would be interesting to know which product she worked on at Microsoft. Sure they have teams that don't deliver, but they also have teams that get shit done.
memoryfault··on Ask HN: I sold my company last month for $5m. What do I do with the money?
midgets and cocaine
memoryfault··on PyPy is the Future of Python
This guy is (seemingly) so much more productive at 19 than I was. I really envy that.

memoryfault··on Don't drink the water in Boston without boiling it first.

I can't wait to see the Big Picture cover this.

memoryfault··on Adobe Responds to Jobs
The original statement is missing a comma after "that"
memoryfault··on Microsoft doesn't even test Bing in Internet Explorer. Lord help us.
Is that a screenshot of IE7?
memoryfault··on Microsoft doesn't even test Bing in Internet Explorer. Lord help us.
MS Supports most things for 10 years. IE 6 came out in late 2001, so you've got about another year and a half before your argument makes sense.
memoryfault··on F8 Preview: How Facebook Plans to Take Over the Web
While I agree that Twitter / Yelp should be scared (very...very scared,) you forget that Google makes little to no money on all of those things you mention. They are a search company. Facebook stands to be a giant threat to their search business.
