Publishing a sped-up video without telling us that it's sped up really killed all my trust I had in you guys. Seriously, what were you thinking? Your main and only selling point is the speed. So much so that that needs to compensate for lack of other features like resolution and color. And then you open the door to cheating accusations? You can now 100x say that it's really fast and no ghosting and all that, but your ethics seem to really believe it was no big deal, so at each turn down the line I'll have to question, perhaps here they also didn't think it's a big deal to pull some dirty trick?

So disappointed. :(

As impressive as this looks (and is), the effort strikes me as monumentally oversized. This particular picture, with its straight lines and everything artificial, could have just as well come out of a renderer. For substantially less cost, the result would have been the same.

Doesn't mean you don't need to have the creative vision first. But executing it with a camera and a light/laser/fog set and all the effort that went into it, seriously, just take a talented vfx artist and you get the same result.

It's different with nature photography and especially with humans. But there was nothing natural with this image.

Longevity is a component in reproductive success since until quite recently in humans evolutionary past, the family played a crucial role in upbringing of the young generation. The more grandparents were missing, the harder it was for the young to survive since they tended to be less cared for.

From that article: "In fact, the only real purpose the guidance served was as a justification to suppress Americans’ free speech."

Criticising fact checkers is one thing and can get me partially on board, but any article sprinkling in such conspiracies automatically disqualifies itself to me as it is just clearly a propaganda machine with its own political agenda.

I'm in the same camp w.r.t. national public broadcasting, but obviously there could be interests there too. It's different in different countries, and one red flag is if an election changes the governing majority and as a result, the leadership of the broadcaster is exchanged (like happened in Poland the previous election and the most recent as well), or if its a more authoritarian country anyway with elections mainly being a sham (like in Russia).
