- 487.41 millis / 2364 kb ram for luajit -joff
- 770.17 millis / 41712 kb ram for bolt
770.17 / 487.41 ~~ 1.58 cpu, not 2x, but not 15% either
41712 / 2364 ~~ 17.64 ramJust checked with nbody:
- still 10 times slower than luajit
- 2 times slower than luajit -joff
- but 20% faster than lua 5.4
- but uses 47 Mb RAM vs 2.5 Mb for lua/luajit ~ 10 times slower than luajit
~ 3 times slower than lua 5.4 - OS X: MonoMac or net6.0-
- Linux: GTK+
- Windows: Windows Forms (using GDI or Direct2D) or WPF

I'm not familiar enough with clojure, buy in F# you sample with collision/shake/police may looks like
someGameState
|> handleCollisions
|> handleShake
|> handlePolice
...
|> renderGameState
where each function accept gameState, run some login against it, and return modified state, so you don't need to pass dozen arguments through call-stack.IMO, the only reason why java is still in use - superb IDE and tooling, that compensate terrible language design.
Probably, you may restructure your code, use curried functions, and you won't need to go through all 10 levels. Transition from imperative to functional programming may looks like untangling a ball of function calls, in order to get simple and clean design.
Just wonder, what is the point of promoting something as "being written in Rust", if at the end it crushed the same way as "being written in C/C++/whatever".
Console SDK seems to be not compatible with open source
