No special rules for billionaires.
meep_meep_meep··on Oracle cites 'force majeure' to shield itself on controversial data center
Glad to see this post reappeared magically.
meep_meep_meep··on Anthropic is planning to launch its IPO in November
Probably bad timing, all the consequences of ignoring reality will be hitting the markets then.
meep_meep_meep··on German Hospitals Prepare for War, Drones and Mass Casualties
Something big seems to be developing in Europe, Tusk speech, Macron summoning all political figures.
meep_meep_meep··on US Military had close call after using AI for hallucinated intelligence report
The entire power dynamic between the US and China since Xi has come to power has shifted to the point that gambling on the past being useful reference in the face of the openly hostile competition that dominates now is not very wise.
meep_meep_meep··on US Military had close call after using AI for hallucinated intelligence report
Well that was intentional. All the integrations with the US military didn't happen by accident.

Edit: There's no way you're going to get these AI systems and not have them integrated with the military. It's a consequence of releasing this stuff on the world.

You guys wondered how AI could destroy the world? It could do this, but better and intentional.
meep_meep_meep··on Dario, Please
At this point, isn't the pause inevitable or wise? A huge section of the population, normal people, have been exposed to the idea that there is this is existential threat. It's escaped containment. They're still processing it but I expect the general reaction from it going main stream is going to be very bad. The pause at this point could be good to cool heads and show the public that this isn't the project of maniacs. The reaction is going to be more intense than people here believe. You're talking about extinction, not social media or phone addiction. For the sake of the project, realize that this isn't going to be like other tech backlash moments.
meep_meep_meep··on Why is it so hard to believe that the AI worries are genuine?
I guess. But we've never survived something smarter than us (that we know of.) I feel like the analogy of how we kill animals off without having malice simply because it fulfills a need in our current goals that an animal would have no basis for understanding. Something more intelligent than us would probably view us similarly. And their reasoning would be just as incomprehensible. Like a monkey in a jungle that is being set on fire for palm oil plantation doesn't comprehend reasoning for what we are doing.

One does not simply try to capture mindshare when you are trying to pull off a IPO at a value of 2 trillion.

Any other time sure, but not in this window. The IPO window for them is fragile.

meep_meep_meep··on For AI leaders Doom is a form of hype
I thought that too for a long time, but after the Hugging Face attack and given the proximity to Anthropic IPO, if this was hype then they are morons. This is guaranteed to cause massive backlash.
