mdoms··on Growing food in hard clay
I see the gypsum misinformation continues to thrive in the gardening world. Please keep in mind while reading articles like this that this world is absolutely riddled with old wive's tales, misinformation and muddled correlations.

If you're interested in when gypsum will and (most likely) won't work for you, read this article. It's based on actual science and brings receipts.

Fantastic resource which is sadly very America-centric. I searched multiple major Australian and NZ brands (Penright, Supercheap Auto, Marmite, Vegemite, Irwin, Bunnings, Enzed) with no or poor results. But every American brand I could think of is present.

mdoms··on I want an iPhone Mini-sized Android phone
People who will happily continue using 15-year-old hardware are not a great market segment to target.

Law is law.
mdoms··on Almost all searches on my independent search engine are now from SEO spam bots
Million Short also has an option to remove only e-commerce results which is invaluable if you still want results from sites like Twitter, Wikipedia and YouTube but don't want online shopping spam.
mdoms··on The ‘flawed five’ engineering productivity metrics
Because as a business we seek efficiency. And how can we know if we're efficient if we can't measure output? It's only natural to want to get the most out of your dollar from expensive resources like developers.
mdoms··on The ‘flawed five’ engineering productivity metrics
Large PRs are one of the most serious anti patterns in day to day work.

Great, how much and where do I buy it? Got an order page? When is my delivery date?

mdoms··on I Trained My TikTok
> Boredom is nature's way of making the universe go forward

I generally agree with your comment but no, this is a ridiculous piece of scientism.

mdoms··on You're Not Losing Fat Because You're Eating Too Damn Much (2016)
I lived with a dieting obese couple who would reward themselves with a "cheat" dinner if they'd been good for a whole 2 meals prior.
mdoms··on Coffeezilla, a YouTuber Exposing Crypto Scams
"We" would be any nation with legitimate climate targets.
mdoms··on Luna Cryptocurrency Collapse: How UST Broke
> Even if you don't care about crypto, even if you think people who trade in crypto are idiots, please remember there are real humans behind these things.

I don't care. There is nothing, NOTHING you could say to make me care about selfish cryptocurrency assholes.

mdoms··on Twitter CEO fires two top executives, freezes hiring
Vine was not too early by any means. It was exploding in popularity when they shut it down. It absolutely would have been as big as Tik Tok if they got the algorithm right.
mdoms··on Twitter CEO fires two top executives, freezes hiring
NFT dudes are the only people I have EVER seen using that feature, and I use Twitter daily. I also follow exactly zero NFT dudes so I don't know why I always see their spaces.
mdoms··on Twitter CEO fires two top executives, freezes hiring
> Kayvon was a huge driving force behind all the interesting product efforts of the last few years: Spaces, Fleets, topics, etc

Honestly not sure if you're being sarcastic. Fleets were killed within months of launch because they were awful and no one wanted them. Spaces will die when the nft bubble finishes collapsing. And topics are just a way to shoehorn crap no one wants onto their timelines without asking first.

mdoms··on Tether starting to lose its peg too, after Terra did
They do deserve it.
