People are posting related info they've found. Seems entirely valid to me (especially given that the media botches a lot of stories, like the last two revelations of "the real Satoshi").
Mobile VR wins with cost, rapid hardware iteration, portability. VR isn't a totally separate realm from AR... "mixed reality" is a buzzword about mixing the two. As for who's clamouring for VR phones, Samsung's Gear VR is doing very well (and Samsung mobile hardware is already used in Oculus products).
Frustration, I'd guess. They look long and hard at one ultimate solution to the problem of human governance, finally realize it won't work, then swing to the opposite conclusion to examine it.

Anarchists don't generally strive towards communism because they recognize what history shows: communist states are even less accountable than modern oligarchal democracy.
Communism has killed millions and millions of people yet its advocates don't get blacklisted for wrongthink.
And despite Klabnik's efforts to police the ideas of tech speakers, his chosen software licenses don't prohibit use of his software by repressive regimes:
Driving the adoption of identity politics seems to be a synergy between the Western ruling class's interests and those of a subset of leftists. My guess is the ruling class likes the ideology, and supports it, because it provides a moral pretext for weakening historically dominant demographics. Once these demographics are sufficiently cowed, they will be more willing to let go of self-determination and accept supernational rule (rule imposed by the EU on European nations, for example).
Texas has over 5 times the population of Norway and I don't think there's ever been a spree killer there that even got close to Breivik's 75 victims (but I'm happy to be corrected). But it seems likely spree killing is more common in Texas than Norway.
