You don't have SSL.
mbix77··on Microsoft terminates VeraCrypt account, halting Windows updates
Yea, I'm in the process of converting our complete ETL infrastructure from SSIS/SQL Server to Python/PostgreSQL. Next step is Office 365, which will be more difficult, but doable since we are a small company anyway.
mbix77··on SpaceX files to go public
All your comments are about Elon Musk. Weird.
mbix77··on Iran-backed hackers claim wiper attack on medtech firm Stryker
Killing 175 children would illicit such a response also from USA hackers.
mbix77··on 1B identity records exposed in ID verification data leak
What did measures like gdpr ever achieve except for making me click a cookie prompt away.
mbix77··on Dario Amodei calls OpenAI’s messaging around military deal ‘straight up lies’
But now he's anyway at the table with them? Bullshitters all around. Fully open-source models are the only way.
mbix77··on Anthropic chief back in talks with Pentagon about AI deal
Hopefully Mistral or open-source can get similar models working. At the moment on the Max subscription with Claude Code, need to get away though.
mbix77··on Motorola announces a partnership with GrapheneOS
Very excited for this! Just recently moved my Google Pixel Pro 10 to GrapheneOS.
mbix77··on IDF killed Gaza aid workers at point blank range in 2025 massacre: Report
Accountability has gone out of the window a long time. The only way it will come back is when the people fight back.
mbix77··on GrapheneOS – Break Free from Google and Apple
Switched a couple of weeks ago and works perfectly. I also found so many better apps that dont steal your data for basic stuff like weather, notes, messaging,...
mbix77··on Grindr trials premium $500 per month plan to become 'AI-first' app
Why has the world not made an open-source zero trust dating app? It's such a basic need it seems for people, but the current app landscape is filled with scams, dark patterns, selling your data, trying to keep you locked in,...
mbix77··on ICE and Palantir: US agents using health data to hunt illegal immigrants
Elon Musk did the biggest data heist of all times.
mbix77··on Instabridge has acquired Nova Launcher
On any Android phone I immediately install Niagara. Best launcher by far. Makes everything so efficient and beautiful.
mbix77··on A closer look at a BGP anomaly in Venezuela
Scary that so much of the basic internet infrastructure is being managed by US companies. Maybe now the rest of the world will change and become more independent. We should have learnt our lesson long ago though.
mbix77··on Vietnam bans unskippable ads
Refreshing to see. Makes you wonder what we could achieve if we all just started to say no to enshitification of the world.
mbix77··on Trump says Venezuela’s Maduro captured after strikes
There is not an extreme amount of crime and violence. Years ago yes. But now it's a lot better. Source: living here.
mbix77··on Some Epstein file redactions are being undone
Nice. Love malicious compliance.
mbix77··on Australia begins enforcing world-first teen social media ban
Maybe they will use more common sense then getting manipulated by bot farms.
mbix77··on Paramount launches hostile bid for Warner Bros
The level of corruption is really being raised. Trump family has not a shred of decency.
mbix77··on Google will allow only apps from verified developers to be installed on Android
One can only hope a company like Framework, Nothing, or Fairphone actually can produce and maintain some flagship devices running GrapheneOS or similar. The only reason I have been using Android is because of the freedom I have in my apps, customization, alternative app stores,... I hope the EU fights this with all their might. It also seems like a major geopolitical risk too.
mbix77··on Try Switching to Kagi
Their way of not condemning the invasion of Ukraine, and sticking with support for Yandex, is pretty worrisome, and reminds me of the attitude of the Kaspersky sales reps. You need to ask yourself why.
mbix77··on Kagi – Introducing Fair Pricing
Yes, you're completely correct. Kagi seems to have a very good product, it would become better if it would become a "good" company. I do everything to not use any big-tech software and services. In search it seems the options are limited.
mbix77··on Kagi – Introducing Fair Pricing
Comes from Mao, not surprisingly.
mbix77··on Fair Pricing
War, invasion, terrorism,... take your pick.
mbix77··on Fair Pricing
Calling the invasion of Ukraine and the killing of hundreds of thousands people, targeting kindergartens, hospitals, normal civilians, destabilizing an entire continent --> "politics".

"any search source we consider using goes through rigorous evaluation process that considers: result quality, API availability, economic viability, result latency, legal terms, privacy terms, and technical feasibility. the moment 'politics' is a part of factors being considered for search results, is the moment I stop working on a search engine."

mbix77··on Fair Pricing
I will never support the Russian invaders. I will happily subscribe to your service if you drop Yandex. Until then, hell no.
mbix77··on OpenAI whistleblower found dead in San Francisco apartment
Think about the current geopolitical climate and the possibility this person was actually targeted by malicious actors as a way to sow chaos and distrust in the establishment in the West. What better way to make people grow weary of the digital platforms that are making up a majority part of their lives in their bubbles.
mbix77··on Trump wins presidency for second time
Sad day for the world.
