maypop··on Caltech Mathathon – first hackathon ever devoted to research level mathematics
Is this hackathon only for those with formal math backgrounds?

I would have thought that were the reason but Meshuggah comes up at the end.

A surprising omission of Dream Theater.
maypop··on Ask HN: How to Break into AI Engineering
Great post - thank you.

What directions can you head in AI Eng these days if you _dont_ want big tech?

maypop··on Don't let social media think for you
This discussion feels very meta. In the sense that Twitter is the "bad" person, and we are the actors contributing our individual outrage induced take.

Why are we so compelled to participate?
