mattwoodnyc··on OK Soda
I’ve never heard a soda taste as being oppressed. Thank you.
mattwoodnyc··on OpenChakra is an open-source visual editor for React
I noticed space values (minW, etc) require a “px” to work, but theme-ui doesn’t require it, and defaults “px”
mattwoodnyc··on Internal Tensions at Facebook Are Boiling Over
Will you also confirm whether or not the heat that you’re feeling is actually causing tensions? I’m having a hard time grasping if this article is simply sourcing disgruntled employees.
mattwoodnyc··on Go's New Brand
unrelated to this thread...

but Adidas had plenty of soul in the 80s. RunDMC wrote an anthem specifically about the brand [0], which completely changed the Hip Hop's relationship w/ commerce.

I also choose Axios over Fetch for now. I had the following post that made the case - https://medium.com/@thejasonfile/fetch-vs-axios-js-for-makin...

mattwoodnyc··on ACME v2 and Wildcard Certificate Support is Live
I did the same. Between Netlify and Zeit.co's Now, I don't see any reason to complain about HTTPS, not to mention the devOps issues that both these services solve.

SSL requires one click with Netlify, and it's on by default with Now.

mattwoodnyc··on Chrome Apps are dead, as Google shuts down the Chrome Web Store section
This. I work on the mobile web, and eagerly watch the webkit updates, but it's clear that Apple wants users to download native apps, b/c they control the quality and security of apps coming out of the App Store.
mattwoodnyc··on Text-only CNN
This format is ideal in this context, but the web is far larger than a digital ticker tape dispenser.

Some publishers are seeking to create a modern version of Life magazine. What do imagine that would look like? How about National Geographic?

I love, for example, what the teams at The New York Times are doing to enhance stories with creative uses of the modern web.

The web is not broken, it’s simply revealing that this is a better way to consume breaking news.

mattwoodnyc··on Dear Mark Zuckerberg: Democracy is not a Facebook focus group
Again, that's what realclearpolitics.com appears to be doing... listing articles from both sides of the isle, twice daily.

I don't work for them, I've just found their published lists useful.

mattwoodnyc··on Dear Mark Zuckerberg: Democracy is not a Facebook focus group
I don't think any one organization will fairly report without bias, though I do appreciate visiting realclearpolitics.com from time to time to get a list of links that appears to be from both sides of the aisle.

I would love to hear how others are tackling the difficult job of being informed in this particularly contentious time

mattwoodnyc··on Chrome browser for businesses
Thank you, I'm always interested in seeing browser metrics in other industries. I'm assuming safari is so high due to your higher-ed audience.

In React, Redux as a container for "state". I think your first link is incorrect, and should instead be: http://rackt.github.io/redux/
