Are pickup trucks common in Europe?

I had the same experience last time I tried quitting adderall cold turkey. For months I had a really tough time focusing on anything. The sleep was the worst part- I literally couldn't sleep without medication. Eventually I went back on.

This time around I quit in consultation with a really good psychiatrist (they are out there) and he had me slowly tapper my dose over a 6 months period. This was a WAY better experience then quitting cold turkey. My sleep has been better than when I was on adderrall and my focus has actually been better than when I was on a low dosage of the stuff.work

We really need this generation's Robert Moses or Lyndon Johnson. Someone with the ambition and political saavy for cutting through layers of bureaucracy, though maybe today's setup would be too much for even them.

I'm pretty sure Tesla's with FSD get in less accidents when compared to the average driver. Mine tends to be frustratingly overly cautious in most cases.

Variables exist in zq, "this" is a reserved word: echo {x:1} | zq 'x := x+1' -

Not sure if this came across in the article, but all the "boutique" z* formats are all representations of the same zed model https://zed.brimdata.io/docs/formats/zed/

Go ask any nurse that works in a major metropolitan hospital what percentage of their patients are overweight- it will be the vast majority of them.

Depending on which media outlet you turn to Facebook is trying to skew the election towards Trump or Biden. Depending on your political bias you get the story that fits your narrative. Perhaps our framing is off?

Looky | Software Engineer, Front-end | Oakland, CA | Onsite| Fulltime

We are Looky, a VC funded (Accel) seed stage startup. We're currently at 6 people looking to add an awesome Frontend focused engineer.

Our founder, Steve McCanne, has got a pretty impressive track record: A former Associate Professor of CompSci at Berkeley, he's founded numerous success startups including Riverbed which went from nothing to IPO in 4 years with over 2000 employees and a 7.6B market cap.

We're looking to disrupt the massive Network Security market with a forward looking product. We are building a blazing fast log analytics search engine in golang and a super cool, very original Electron-based search client- think Kibana but way better.

Perhaps I'm a little biased but this is a pretty sweet opportunity :)

I'm the technical lead for the project. Would love to buy you a coffee and chat!

(We're still working on our public website)

Could not agree more. Telerik is terrible. A part of me dies every time I run across a project that's been 'infected' with Telerik. You have to make sure you have the correct version of Telerik installed or your project just doesn't work and finding the correct version on their website is difficult. The markup for their controls is just horrendous. Documentation and support are just as bad.

Sorry, I didn't read the article. Just looking for an excuse to curse Telerik.

Interesting site. Not sure if I see myself using it much because there's always 99 things I should be programming for personal projects. I'd be interested in hearing if anybody has found writing these "programming tasks" to be a worthwhile endeavor.

Yeah "HUNDREDs OF DOLLARS" bit, was a tad over dramatic.

Better question, is the movie industry doomed (think Popcorn time)?

How is requiring a car dealer to sell through a dealership beneficial to anyone besides the dealership lobby which spent millions of dollars in getting that law in place? This is why I freely support any company attempting to disrupt any industry that uses the US gov't to create laws limiting direct competition (Healthcare for example).

Politicians who stand up for this kind of nonsense should be ashamed.
