matthuggins··on Show HN: Math Attack – My side project of 3 years
Yep, I can second this. I can put up with ads myself, but I don't want my 5 year old to play a game with ads since they no longer know what they're doing once an ad pops up.
matthuggins··on Netflix Earnings Are Driven by Investment in Original Content
They can, but they don't want to remove revenue streams when enough people are willing to pay for it.

They have all of the DC series, including the ones you mentioned.

It also is not preserving JSX spacing correctly, and the example the site provides even shows that:

    JSX is<strong>supported</strong>
Note the lack of space after the word "is".

Didn't work in mobile, I wasn't able to highlight anything by long-pressing like I normally would.

The same is true on mobile.

I had the same issue as OP on mobile Chrome.

If you have an issue with it, maybe you should have contributed sooner.

JPEG is commonly used in its lossy format, but there's lossless JPEG[1] as well.

I don't understand the problem. Why doesn't the author just upgrade his browser? He doesn't explain why that's not an option.

Got it, thanks!

Help! The site is back, but I just pushed a new branch that isn't showing on the site, meaning I can't create a pull request.

Really easy to beat on mobile. Just tap the white box, then sit back and watch. :)
matthuggins··on Rack-Mini-profiler – The Secret Weapon of Ruby and Rails Speed
My guess is that this blurb is relevant:

> rack-mini-profiler runs in the development environment by default in Rails apps. We're going to enable it in production, and hide it behind a URL parameter. You can also do things like make it visible only to admin users, etc.

> If you're forcing SSL in production, you're going to want to turn that off for now.

Great article, but there's no further mention about SSL. Specifically, why should I turn it off in the first place for this gem, and when/how can I turn it back on? Is there some special step(s) needed to do so, and what are they?

Couldn't get the swimming to work on my Nexus unfortunately. Tapping on the icon of the boy with flippers did nothing. Cool demo otherwise!

matthuggins··on Angular vs. React – the tie breaker
Oh god, I didn't think it would be possible to dislike react, but you went and threw a hideous renovating language on top of it. This makes it seem like you don't understand how components work. Why even use react in the first place then?
matthuggins··on Really well-designed parallax(?) scrolling
Doesn't look like anything special on mobile.
matthuggins··on Clusterize.js – Tiny plugin to display large data sets easily
There's a small bug if scrolling with a trackpad very quickly. Instead of continuing to scroll the inner div (or whatever container element you're using), it will stop scrolling partway through, and scroll the entire page instead. Usually this only happens when you've reached the end of the scrollable div, but not with this plugin.

I'm using Chrome 42.0.2311.135 (64-bit) on a MacBook Pro with OS X 10.9.5.

matthuggins··on Clusterize.js – Tiny plugin to display large data sets easily
It's laggy using a Mac OSX Chrome with a trackpad.
