Why shouldn't a company or person be discriminated against based on content type? content type is not a protected category. Ultimately, net neutrality is good for the rich since it lower their cost so it will all be supported by the gov. If you people didn't already know, the the rich are the ones who make the calls in the USA. I don't want to bring them down though, I want to elevate my self to their level.
IF a developer team his mostly iphones they will do that one first I bet. Thats how I have seen it done usually. The problem is that if most non standard use cases (like bluetooth) support are garbage in cross platform tools. So I have to make two mobile apps: one for iphone and one for android. I have an iPhone so I making that one first. If its not that popular, maybe I just dont make an android app.
I wont support any loan forgiveness. I worked my but off to work fulltime and pay tuition at the sate university. It took 6 years of hard work for a 4 year degree. I graduated with no debt. That my hard work might make me no better off than those who took the easy route, infuriates me.
The problem with housing costs going up, is that they need to be permanently higher or it will have a bubble burst like effect. Imagine if the state of California did something that cut the real-estate prices down 30%... Well now people who bought when real-estate was 10% lower than the original value are upside down and will panic sell.
I'll just say it: Bezos is better suited to handle the money than the government. If the government managed sand in the desert, there would be a sand shortage within 1 year. If Bezos managed sand in the desert, there would be plenty of sand for everyone for years to come and it would arrive on my doorstep within 2 days, usually 1.
An interesting question arises from my reading of the article. Should geniuses be better off socially or economically because they are geniuses? If the answer is no, then the only solution is to handicap them. If the answer is yes, then don't do anything and that's how it will play out.
In the USA, public school students who show up the required amount of days will graduate. No child left behind. Since failing grades can't keep you from graduating, then grading is pointless. Stop grading and colleges that are based on merit will look at your standardized tests, and colleges not based on merit don't care about how you perform anyway.
Workplace romances happen most often when the man is in a higher position which automatically adds to the potential legal issues. Situations here the woman is in a higher position are rare and nobody cares if the man is taken advantage of so shrug
I and my current employer consider myself above average. If I one day found out that I made the same as my average coworker I would leave the job and go somewhere that appreciates me.
