The article itself is irrelevant but since I read it, I can tell that it is a classical nonsensical piece on the benefits of listening to children. The author lacks any formal qualification on teaching from what I could also find.
In other terms a complete time waster.
I respect Peter Norvig as a programmer and a problem solver. I've taken a course taught by him in the early mooc days that I really enjoyed.

I use an alarm for waking up. I expect a fast, usable ui to be able to set the time fast and options like recurring alarms, weekly scheduled alarms etc.
I wouldn't replace my vendor's slick, feature full without ads app for something that is not as least as good.
The writer is just rambling on irrelevant stuff while trying to be smart and promote himself and his company.
It's not even good marketing.
