When I had an issue with "funny" hosts, I reached out to the Airbnb supported and I actually got a full refund and a discount for a future booking as an apology for the situation.
To be fair, your host was extremely rigid. Reach airbnb support, maybe you'll get a full refund.
You would be much better off by using a non-European/USA/Western provider.
Freedom of speech is not about hearing the ideas you like but the ones you dislike.
This action is a threat to democracy on the behalf of private companies.
I'm tired of hearing this and other myths like "C++ is for geniuses". When are we going to acknowledge that managers only care about shipping feature fast regardless of the quality of the codebase? I work professionally with "productive languages" and I could claim the same thing about javascript and others.
On this article it is very clear that companies won't invest in proper training, quoting: "Most Java developers are web developers and are used to modelling things they can see" and "We began by hiring people from trading floors, but have more recently hired Masters and PhD students"
This is a culture problem, not a language one. If anything, C++ will always perform much better than Java. Claiming the opposite because you assume your coders don't know what they're doing, it's just ridiculous.
Bootcamp is not migrated yet but it wouldn't require disabling boot security since it's done by apple itself.
If I create 20 monitors at a rate of 10 minutes I only pay $1.00 + $1.04 / mo
How do you create a sustainable product that you can realistic maintain when you've to pay taxes, hosting, etc. at this price?
These CPUs aren't meant for professionals but 18 to 20 hours of battery without all the heat from Intel CPUs is really nice.
Shame they didn't mention clock speeds
Are you using WebRTC with a torrent like network (ex:Filecoin)? I can imagine people renting a percentage of their existing home servers.
Quoting: “To clarify this, we recently added a provision to our GeForce-specific EULA to discourage potential misuse of our GeForce and Titan products in demanding, large-scale enterprise environments.”
According to this article, they want to discourage but I would expect legal retaliation if FileCoin proves to be profitable. There is one area where AWS never launched: gaming servers and I suspect this could be the reason.
To avoid being sued you need a Tesla GPU, the cheapest one is $7,374
Doing the same in USA won't work due to lack of a public health system, without it is impossible to help people recover from addiction. Providing methadone is the easy bit, having a public network of doctors, therapists and social workers is the key ingredient.
I'm very surprised about the 128 gigs of ram requirement, guess this network isn't that decentralized as promised. Anyway, from the beginning it easy to see that competing against something like AWS S3 would be super super hard if not impossible.
With a low token price, electricity costs, hardware costs and your ISP asking about your absurd bandwidth use, I would be shocked if anyone can actually make a profit on this.
If you own the IP, you do have the upper hand. In case your clients owns it, he would spend more money/time migrating to another developer, just negotiate with him and explain that you underestimated. If he doesn't like it, his loss.
Google your office IP address, maybe it got listed on some spam forum and GitHub and others used it.
Given you have sponsors, this is a pretty big mistake on their behalf. Probably just a mistake, hope they restore your account.
