manexploitsman··on Denmark parliament approves giant artificial island off Copenhagen
Wouldn't it be cheaper and better for the environment to buy some land off Germany or Sweden? Once the deal is sealed, they could start building the city the very next day.
manexploitsman··on Dr. Seuss books deemed offensive will be delisted from eBay

manexploitsman··on Pretty Good Phone Privacy [pdf]
It'd be great to see it deployed in at least 1 national network but TBH no Telco is going to implement it as they're bound by the law to provide lawful interception.
manexploitsman··on Sonobus: Open-source app for low latency peer-to-peer audio
A bit off topic, but if you just want to get a fast and lossless music playback for multiple desktop & mobile clients on your home network that has a minimal toll on bandwidth usage then look into MPD Satellite Setup https://www.musicpd.org/doc/html/user.html#satellite-setup Playing back a 24b/96kHz flac uses approximately 400kB/s and for a regular 16b/44kHz its ~200kB/s. In such setup the main instance of MPD acts as a query and file server. Your MPD clients need to be configured as proxies. On Android you need the official MPD app that works as said proxy https://f-droid.org/packages/org.musicpd And then chose a front end client e.g. M.A.L.P. https://f-droid.org/packages/org.gateshipone.malp Or MPDroid https://f-droid.org/packages/com.namelessdev.mpdroid Happy listening!

manexploitsman··on UK and EU agree Brexit trade deal
I loved that gentle yet classy slap in the face that France (most likely directed by Germany) gave to the UK when they closed the border in Calais for a while.
manexploitsman··on Creative Code-Generated Art
Isn't that demo scene on steroids?
manexploitsman··on Thank You for 20 Years of Discogs
I gave musicbraiz few chances in the past. To my disappointment, I was able to find maybe 20% of albums I wa looking for compared to discogs. And even if I found one, then it missed plenty of meta data that's available on discogs.
manexploitsman··on Fennel – Lisp in Lua
Why do you need all of those brackets?
manexploitsman··on Show HN: A proactive way of securing your Linux server
